beautiful mullets, what brand sir ?
7:17 love the sound as if the dragon will come out :)
so do they turn green like other cymbals from touching them?
Do you play drumset?
Awesome!
Whitest explanation of latin cultural sounds and instruments Its not so much the technical info that needs to be absorbed. But the feel of the music.
Now, I wonder why that would be... The feel of the music is something you develop and gain a sense for as you play and listen. Sometimes a technical explanation is all someone needs to get started.
10th grade,1969,was taking a class called "music appreciation",taught by the band director, was not in the band, all my friend drummers were, i went to school with keith moon, ginger baker and ringo starr, played on a small record player on a stool where my non-existant hi hat was[ yes, i occasionally hit the record player]anywho, one class the teacher did not show up, after about 5 minutes kids were leaving, after about 10 i went up to the drums-they had 3 ludwig snares on stands, and the sticks were there, so i started banging, one was a 6 1/2 super sensitive, man, the rebound was nothing like the mij i had at home, then i eyed the tymps, this was bold and i knew that i would get in trouble if i took the covers off, but i did and banged on the two tymps for about 10 minutes, my first and only time ,it was great. i am in the process of retiring and one thing i'm going to do is get a place where i can play my drumsets[same stuff-the who, cream, beatles, hendrix] and i'm going to get a pair of tymps, they will be particularly fun to bang on during our extreme central florida thunder storms, glad i found your channel ,peace! mitt
Were makin it out of san sebastian with this one🗣️🔥🔥🔥

Thank you for posting the solo and explanations, however your voice is virtually inaudible.
1:35 What if you only have a tan, yellow, or sea foam green towel?
Thank you! Very instructive. I love the suggested substitutes and how to execute them, as well speaking about how the frame noise would carry more than the tone in a concert hall with soft mallets. I look forward to any other percussion instrument tutorials you may have.
you're so cool, i've had you as a percussionist a couple of times with the all state choirs
I'm learning to compose and found this very helpful to understand how to write for crotales. I grew up playing percussion in school so I'm enjoying looking through your channel for some refreshers on instruments and techniques to apply to my writing. Cheers!
So awesome! Just got an old school 40" Ludwig today. These are amazing drums with incredible sounds.
Very helpful. Thanks for making this!
Que carajo acabo de ver 😂
Nice drum
Great lesson, wonderful example also for my beginner Students, thanks for sharing !
@ 5:43 mark...I wonder if Jon Anderson from Yes heard this around the time they recorded "Tales From Topographic Oceans".
Thank you Ive been playing wrong the past 2 years
Thank you for sharing this information
And how exactly do those rhythms fit into a standard 4/4 time for a reel, 6/8 for a Jig. How does it fit into slides, polkas, Quadrille, single jigs, Double jigs and slip jigs? I have no idea where you learned these so called patterns, but the way you're playing, means the timing for the tune and the playing of the tune won't be possible. A Bodhran is a percussion instrument designed to keep the beat. You should be able to play the tune. How long can you play without it hurting your wrist? Who taught you? I'd suggest you watch Irish Bodhran players like Tommy Hayes, Kevin Cuniffe, Johnny Ringo McDonagh, Gino Lupari and Tommy Murphy! Because honestly you'd get kicked out of a session if you played that set of rhythms to a set..

Nice!
How did I get recommended this?
thanx so much ! great ! which tipper do you use? greets from Austria!
This is the 1977 live version.
What size is this drum, and where can I find one? 😁
On the youtube channel FENIX Attempt 2 out 01/11/22
This is a Ludwig 36" which is a very standard concert BD size worldwide(especially in North America), and it looks like either 18" or 20" deep.
Bravo les kentish 😊guards tous bénévoles qui font revivre leur Histoire et en sont les garants.
thank you very much for posting this. I just bought a practice pad and a couple of sticks and Im trying to learn the basic drum rolls and such and you have a very good instructional video here. I'm glad I found and Thanks again!!!!
Masterful demonstration.

Hello
Thanks for recording this Kyle. There are always a couple of little technique details I would have otherwise overlooked.
/applause!!!!
Army 2/4
Where can I find the book with all of the sheets? Great playing.
A newly-engraved version with two additional solos was just released last week by Pulsa Musica publishing.
Josh's description is perfect. BUTTERY smooth!
you're....buttery smooth... I dunno.
I totally dig this Version you’re playing. Any chance you have the sheet music for it? Also (forgive me if I say this wrong) is your style for a side rope style drum? I’m a pipe ls and drums drummer, so I guess I play Scottish style. Is what you’re doing the same or a different style? Hope that makes sense.
Nice job man! The snare response on that drum sounds great. Just curious, are there snare guts on the top head as well as the bottom?
Hey Eric, appreciate the kukdos. Snares on the bottom only, but pretty thick gut. 17x19, Calf on top, thin plastic on bottom.
Outstanding!
This is what happens when musicians listen with the same focus they use to play. What a great combination of smooth lyrical playing and punchy energy when it is called for. Very well balanced and BUTTERY smooth guys.
you're very kind. thank you.
This is awesome. I want to learn drumming real bad and I'm glad I found your channel.
