Yes ! The unit only draws 14 amps with both the pump and hot water heater on...but that is not always the case, as the hot water heater holds temp and the pump only uses 0.5 amps on demand... hope this helps. Please feel free to call me we can discuss other options if you like Rick

You will know when you are empty, as no water will come out. No damage to our pump , as this unit carries a strong 4 year warranty. All other units you see online carry this shutoff feature Because the pumps are very very small and they will burn up. Remember they pump 0.8 gallons per minute, compared to our pump which pumps 3.3 GPM. The constant running of the smaller pump trying to keep up with demand calls for this feature. They are designed for ice machines and bottled water , certainly not for rinsing hair ...

You are correct; however, They did customize the sink... and he did put it together. If you want to make your own go ahead at it. Lol 😂 I just was to lazy to do all of that & I rather be making money and pay them to do it. IJS we spend money on what we want too.

Well sir , you should make them and sell them ! I would never criticize someone who is trying to make money . Other materials and labor cost money . The building , rent , lights etc cost money too . I wouldn’t want to seat a customer at a DIY shampoo unit with electric heaters and pumps . Lawyers cost more than any perceived savings .

Hey Brandy, That sucks! However, FYI FedEx is responsible; they have insurance on items like these due to transition things are liable to happen. I had a similar situation with another merchant and FedEx reimbursed me. I hope this helps!

So what was the outcome? Have you been reimbursed or has a new shampoo bowl been sent? Did you hear back from customer service? A supervisor?

I’d like to know if the issue was resolved also . I’m in a terrible situation with a company called Mudducksinks on a similar unit . That hoses on that unit pop off and spray water all over . They use plastic hoses and plastic T junctions . I saw that Pratt doesn’t , but I want to be sure Pratt stands behind their workmanship . I want to avoid warranty issues when I repurchase. FYI , I don’t recommend Mudducksinks obviously.

Ours are the quietest on the market they feature a 3/4 rubber mount , and most everyone says it is quieter than expected

Vibration dampening air cooled (water cooled?) muffler enclosure for the water pump 2nd generation. The pump is fastened directly to the blow molded housing causing the amplified low end rumble.

It’s an OEM Pump. Pump is listed on “ prattsdirect.com/oempump.html. “

The video shows the shampoo bowl in use. You can hear how loud it is , though it is more of a hum. Please remember the doors were open and you are at the direct noise level, as we filmed this with the unit elevated, hope this helps, Rick

Great product! Took me a minute to learn the unit ... at times there might be air in the holes but its an easy fix. This unit is quite; not loud at all being that I run a massage spa next door. Notice: If you are a hairstylist you can only do 1 person at a time... 2 wash and 1 conditioner (no more than 2 mins and 53 secs). must change waste water after first client and refill clean water.
