HISTORY OF TOMORROW (2024) by Dayla D. Spencer | MIDI Mockup & Score
Commissioned by the Southeastern Women in Music Symposium (based in Murfreesboro, Tenn.), History of Tomorrow is a piece dedicated to the groundbreaking accomplishments of the trailblazing women who came before us, and how they have paved a way for the women of today to continue to be successful.
The title is based on the following quote from Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA:
“The work of today is the history of tomorrow, and we are its makers.”
This work will be premiered in December 2024 at the 3rd Southeastern Women in Music Symposium at Middle Tenneseee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. (GRADE 4 | 4' 55")
