This song always makes me sad. There was a TV documentary about the first all-female attempt to climb K2, back in around 1982. I can't find any info on it, but I think this was played at the end of the show.
Why isn't this song better known? As a professional musician, I think this is one of the most beautiful instrumental tunes ever written, and deserves a lot more attention.
It’s a beautiful song. I was lucky enough to be around him when I was a child, I wish I knew back then how lucky I was. It took a lot of time to realize how much his music is invaluable.
I remember one summer i was at the airport with my parents en route to ft. lauderdale ( i was 7 or 8 yrs old) and suddenly this guy was playing trumpet at the baggage claim. It was Chuck, sitting on the floor playing "Feels So Good". It was the first time he was playing in PR. My dad grabbed me and we ran towards where he was. One of my best chilhood experiences😍
Got hooked on Chuck in the 70's and had all of his music on vinyl and cd's. The ultimate musicians. Also one of the best back-up band I have ever heard. As far a bands go for my money there is no one better. Love you Chuck. Bravo Maestro!
I am quite alive and cannot hear it without crying. The emotions it creates and, frankly, poignant memories are forever. May your dad RIP. Close to when my mom also passed (a sad coincidence).

This was my dad's favorite Mangione tune. He passed away 13 years ago and i still can't listen to it without crying😓
