Just some items I’ve collected along the way that the Average Joe and Joanne could find on Amazon or Harbor freight without breaking the bank. Lots of different options out there for Amateur off road and volunteer recovery people alike.

Weather changes quick out there in the mountains. I imagine the thicker material clothing helps keep things from stabbing into the skin while working as well. I had a nice pair of jeans that I ended up working in and while they were comfortable, they did not hold up at all.
@noskillreq Yes, the fabrics really matter out here. I would certainly go for the wranglers every time now. Cheaper and more insulating when the weather gets cold.
I enjoyed the episode. I used to live in Janesville when I was really young and a few years ago my family actually had a memorial for my father there at the top of Thompson Peak because he had always said that area was his heaven. I look forward to more of your videos showing the area.
Hi! I really appreciate the feedback. I’m glad to have brought a visual representation to a place that means so much to you for that reason. I look forward to making more content around this place. It’s truly heaven on earth!
Now do that with a piece of shag bark hickory with a knot.
@@ubcts northeast California. Mostly lodgepole and oak here
Great episode man, you presented this so nicely!
@@ervinslens thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it and look forward to the next one!
Not much difference than me dumping everything and moving to Thailand
Thailand would be rural in some places. My friend lived there for months and loved it.
@@Stevescabin we love southern Thailand, 12 kilometers outside the city. That's close enough...
@@chinesecrested9528 close enough for convenience and far enough to see the stars at night. Cheers!
Lassen County? So, you're still in California?! That doesn't count. It's like camping in your back yard! Ha! Ha! Have some more huevos and move to another state. That's real cojones. You must have money, though. 5 acres in California? Fuck. That must have cost you.
It's fun growing
It most certainly is 😊
Hey Steve would you do a paid guided trip there or share the location? I live in the Sacramento area and Im planing a Halloween camping trip with the fam and that places looks amazing. I can give you my email if needed.
Great video, thanks
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing... I was wondering if the old townsite survived Sadly it looks like the upper part was destroyed near the mineshaft along with the cool log cabin with the mine hoist. I have some great pics of everything form a couple of past visits. Nice to see a fellow XJ owner 👍
It’s still got the 1980s catalogs inside the buildings. Funny how these things survive countless winters
Not a hatchback, it's a wagon!

Gday from australia and from me ;) Just a quick question Where do i Buy the already made muffler packing tube core
did repacking it fix it? I've got the same bike and it pops on decel and has some idle hang which leads me to thing its lean, it should be running rich because I've gone from a 48 then 50 and then 55 pilot and 170 main.- ( i shouldn't have to go this high) I've pulled out and cleaned the carb probably 6 times and even pulled out the mid body of it, i also re-shimmed it and check all electrical and yet it continues to run like crap the exhaust is the last thing i haven't messed with please respond!!
