I use a 5x7 if I am not adding a name. If adding a name in the embrillance software then I use a 4x4 and then click fit to hoop. I always use my 5x7 hoop.

Let me go back and see which part you are referring to.

I used cotton fabric with heat and bond lite on the backside. Then I used water soluble stablizer (the clear stabilizer) on top of the design before stitching the final satin stitching.

I'm so sorry I just saw your comment. I use a pair of curved applique scissors off Amazon, I hold the fabric up away from the towel and go slowly.

Which design did you see that on if you don't mind me asking? I am not finding it. Do you mean where it says do not use as a vinyl design ?

@@watchmanonthewall6962 she is meaning not to use the design to make vinyl projects. Like taking the design and turning it into a cut file for vinyl. You can use vinyl in the embroidery project.

I thought I mixed them up lol ..thank you for letting me know so I can fix it. I purchased sheets but I think I am going to order the roll this time because the sheets don't fit my larger hoop.

@@sewrockinthestyle i have an 6x10. i see there are 10 x 12 shets and i think they should fit my hoops and figured out the cost difference and there is only 3 cents difference..i like the idea of not having to cut any. lol...just as sure as i order the sheets i will wished i had the roll. lol. thanks for the updates.

Your welcome! The 10x12 sheets work great for my 5x7 hoop but I also own a brother pr1000e 10 needle machine and I have a 8x12 and 8x14 hoop so I think the roll would benefit me more 😃

I have not added names on towels but I have on shirts. I use embrillance essentials software to add names to designs I purchase.

I purchased my sewing machine about 20 years ago from walmart for like $100. The embroidery machine I used in this video was $500 now I think its called a Brother pe800. Watch facebook marketplace if you are on facebook, sometimes you can find deals.

@@Musicpinkycats I'm sure you could. There is also another version where you don't cut the hand towel and you could fold it over to cover all the raw edges, but I haven't tried that yet.

I have the design sized to fit the hoop , so when I align the center line of the shirt with the notches in the hoop I place the shirt where the design will come 1in to 2in down from the neck line depending on size of shirt. The design will sit just inside the hoop so I try to align the shirt to fit the hoop size and have the neck line on the outside edge of the hoop. Let me know if that makes any sense 😊

The heat and bond lite is used to help the fabrics lay flatter and not roll or pucker in your design. I put heat and bond lite on every piece of fabric I use in an applique. I have seen others heat each piece while in the hoop with a small iron, I normally just heat the whole shirt at the end but its just a personal preference.
