Fundraising Sucks, But Not With eTeamSponsor!

Fundraising Sucks, But Not With eTeamSponsor!
Oh, Coach Lad, you just lost a fan when you said you support kneeling during the National Anthem as a protest.
The power clean is not the same movement as a blocker driving into a defender. It is actually not a good idea to implement explosive lifts into your exercise regiment. They are dangerous and taxing on the body. Keep the weight room strictly about building strength and then you can apply that strength to the specific skills you learn.
Coach Murph. Have not seen him since 2009. Congrats on all of your success. CEHS Alum 03' checking in. -Mighty Mouse

Me gustaría que asistieras a Venezuela o Perú son grandes paises que amo se te quiere Bob😊👏excelente trabajo el que haces 👏🇺🇸
Such an incredible achievement!
I’m a former football player at DLS, graduating class of 2002. Senior football year was 2001. Coach Lad is a man of God. My junior year (Spring of 2000) we had one of our mass gatherings in the gymnasium for religious purposes. Coach Lad spoke, and I can’t quote anything he said during his speech. All I remember was he was aggressive about his beliefs for Christ and the Bible. I was sitting on the bleachers (North Wall) inside our gym listening to him preach his message and he pointed to the message which the North gymnasium at DLS states, “Les Hommes De Foi.” Coach Lad was adamant about those words, “Les Hommes De Foi,” and his message that day has stuck with me to this day because up until that moment he was just a special head football coach and respected teacher, That speech he gave hit me to my inner core, and I knew I was in the presence of a man of God. Personally, Coach Lad is a reminder (for me) to keep faith in God. It’s very personal for me and it’s my pleasure to share this short experience on social media. Coach Lad is my reminder of what’s right, and what’s wrong. Author and Pastor John C. Maxwell has nothing on Coach Lad. 399-25-3 P.S. F*ck Mater Dei
That is AWESOME man, great story about Coach Lad, I've only read about him and seen him on television, but have always wanted to meet him. Since you actually played for De La Salle during the meaty part of "The Streak" I have a question for you. When you guys were playing schools like Mater Dei, and Long Beach Poly, did you guys in the locker room just look at those games as just another game? Or did you guys take it personal when everyone kept saying Southern Cali teams are much better than Northern Cali teams? Also, I would be very interested in knowing if "The Streak" ever weighed on you guys? Did you guys ever think about the winning streak during your time playing on the team? Did you ever think to yourself, WOW, this streak is insane and legendary, or were you just focused on the X's and O's of the game?
I graduated from DLS in 79 and, obviously, didn't get the chance to know him or play for him. You were/are fortunate to have had Coach Lad in your life, not only as a player but as a mentor, as well. I played football for DLS for one season and had enough of the coaches and their negative impact on players. Of course, this led to a culture of defeat. One example that affected me deeply occurred during a game which we were losing, badly. At half time, the team assembled in the locker room and one of the coaches started off with, "You guys want to lose". When I heard that, my blood boiled. I wanted to get up and confront the coach, but you didn't do that in those days. I wish to end by saying that I have been following DLS football since the early 80's and have enjoyed the ride and admire you and all those players that have contributed to all the well earned success. Now, we have to overcome Mater Dei and St. John Bosco and their massively recruited teams.
I saw Coach Murphy live at a Glazier clinic a few years back...we don't run anything close to his offense but I still learned a lot from him. Great coach with a great approach to our profession!
Rollinson played for Mater Dei
On Wisconsin!
I wish I could have played for him. Who knows the football player, athlete, or student I could have become. The head football coach at my high school at the time that I was a student there had the attitude that you were either good enough to play or you weren’t. If you weren’t, you were cut. He didn’t seem to have the attitude that one could hit the weights over the summer to make themselves stronger or faster to increase their chances of playing time; and become a better player.
I’m sorry to hear that. I think that is wrong for high school football. I was lucky to play for a program that didn’t cut players. As long as you showed up for weight training conditioning program, you were on the team. My coach believed that even the 2nd and 3rd string guys were valuable for one it allowed us to have scout teams to go up against our starters and prepare them for our opponents. Its great to have coaches that want to teach and develop and truly care about every player.
I'd love to see him go to an urban school, I'd be curious to see if he could change the culture.
Part of his success was that he basically built DLS from the ground up. In the early days it was his way or the highway. The school admin didn't care as DLS was not a sports magnet at that point. Slowly but surely he started winning...a lot. This got future kids to buy in more easily when they got there. He'd do well at a public, but existing politics and more troubled home lives would make it very difficult to duplicate what he did at DLS. I don't even think he could do it another private school.
Excellent.
He cries when everything isn't perfect or his way.
If I had a nickel for every time you cursed Gods name in vain I'd be rich.
160-33-1 record in High School, didn't lose a league game for a decade, has produced over 100 Division 1 players and more than 20 NFL players. Coached players who went on to be champions at the ncaa division 3, division 1, CFL Grey cup, arena football, and NFL level [Super Bowl]. Has a 90% graduation rate, and the majority of his time was spent at Skyline during the crack epidemic, an epidemic that hit Oakland harder than most cities, and originated in Oakland. Has produced Pro Bowlers, vouched for Oakland kids who weren't even his own players and helped them get scholarships... his old players still call him. Known as the Godfather of Oakland Football... even RJ Stern (who he was the hardest on in the show) said that he is a great person. But yeah let's just focus on his using God's name in vain and completely ignore the lives he's touched in a positive way
Find me Hamilton. Ur a douche, a dick and an all around bad person. U treated kids like shit
