i think this video shows what makes this song so impressive...start your heroes at their lowest point, evil has won or is about to, everything is destroyed, our heroes are beaten, about to die, hope is almost lost.....then reintroduce the hero, the saviour,, the one figure or force of nature (embodiment of hope) that will stand up against the threat ...it is a beautiful example of a hero's march (the hero emerges, they are the only one left, and they are all we need)

Honestly there has never been a bad Optimus/Megatron battle, at worse, it's damn good....they probably average an awesome out of 10, and that doesn't change regardless of who the voices are....but to hear Cullen and Welker go at it again....this gives me Transformers 86 goosebumps and all this is before you add the song, it's not over-the-top, it's not orchestral, it's not really cinematic (and if it were any of those things, it would be awesome in a different way)...it not only goes with everything, and makes it better....it makes everything anime
