How to push a boring design to bling #illustration #3d
Revamping script lettering with a fresh twist. Most of the time, I find myself stuck with the software defaults. Even though I’m using a Wacom instead of a mouse, which does help with a smoother flow when I’m designing script lettering, I’m still not quite happy with how it turns out.
Just when you reckon you’ve nailed the perfect letter shape with the best flow and the brush you’ve got, it goes stale in about five minutes. The problem’s usually a mix of the tools and your trained eye - sometimes it just needs a bit more.
That’s the moment when you’ve got to push it. “How?” you might ask. In this case, I’ll take the bits of the letter I’m really not feeling, and just push them further, see ...

How to develop a visual identity from a single logo

Many of you branding designers struggle with creating visual identities and often don't know where to begin. Let me show you how I approach developing a wealth of branding assets from just a logo-it's easier than you might think. One of my personal favourites is to examine the logo closely and find unique details you can use. 🔊 Mafia by @pashamusicofficiel Instagram: antoncreation...
Creating inflated effect in minutes with Adobe Firefly

Alright, here’s an unpopular opinion 😵🔫 Theorists will tell you that as a designer, you need to be well-versed in art history, know the ins and outs of various fonts, and have top-notch drawing skills. Sure, these skills can be useful in design and might even enhance a project, but are they really fundamental? In my 18 years of experience, I’ve found that a designer’s true value lies in their a...

While people are excitedly discussing my recent inflated type effect on TikTok and Instagram, I feel they may be overlooking the full potential of @Adobe Firefly capabilities. Allow me to demonstrate with an example.
How to make an inflated typography effect

Here’s a game-changing feature: structure and reference fields in Firefly (no, this isn’t an ad, but Adobe should be paying me for this, because many graphic designers still struggle to grasp how it operates and I’m spilling the beans.) Let me to demonstrate how to pimp your typography in this poster tutorial.

One of the most trusted and frequently used techniques by designers is the method of combining words to create new meanings and metaphors. This process, known as 'Design Play'. 🕹️ During this process, we generate words or mind maps 💭 to organise information into a visual structure. Then we utilise this information to craft images by drawing parallels between various object features such as colo...

How to create a real chrome effect for your retro typography in Photoshop
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.8 месяцев назад
I had incredible feedback on my last Instagram's reel of people asking for chromatic effect I've made on the type. Many people have a huge request for this effect because lots of designers are trying to achieve this by using lots of Bevel and Emboss styles, which still leaves a lot to be desired. In this video I'm going to show you not only how to achieve realistic chrome effect, but also the q...

And boom, no more one time purchase and start becoming like Adobe 😢😢
What a nasty things to say really
The first two treatments look intresting, could you do a tutorial on how you did those?
@@slinossier do you mean the white ones on 0:58 and black on 1:03?
@@naturetonyxyes I love those
Eu responderei: - Anton Burmistrov! 💥❣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Am I ever gonna do glass letters? Probably not. Did I watch the video 3 times? Yes.
lol, tell me what's the issue? where do you get stuck?
@@naturetonyx I cant find the right 3D section in 3D and materials !
@@marcjezequel9675 Do you mean you can't find Inflate tab at the top of the 3d and Materials panel?
@@naturetonyxi found it ! I tried all the 3D option’s ahah before finding put it was the material one. may have miss understood ! thanks for the tutorial !

OH MANNN!!! So damn cool!!!!
Oh hi there 😉 thanks Maitree
Excellent.
🙏
I like the logo but as a favicon / something super low res it just looks like mush :///
yeah, for an icon I'd probably use a white line on black bg (as a zoomed in version of the logo crop) 😉

Adobe pretends that you pay around 30€ every month for a single program, or similar for Creative Cloud kit, but Affinity only has 1 payment for software license that is around 40€ for one program for an Special offer or 90€ for the 3 programs in every device you have... ONLY 1 PAYMENT, Canva is not as bad as some people say, the fusion with Affinity is just amazing, definitely I'm leaving Adobe for now and they're policies
this is a joke of a tutorial....I tried my best to follow along but you don't explain anything and move extremely fast. The amount of times I replayed every little tiny section is insane so I gave up. Thanks for wasting my time! I'll find someone else who can explain this shit better.
What font used on the surrounding texts?
In video description
I know it was a good move for Canva. I’m just not (yet) convinced it’s a good move for Affinity users. I still hate Canva with a passion. It’s such a pain to use.
Those who use Affinity and not Canva should not care about Canva 😆 Also I suspect it's a financial benefit for Affinity, they were just committing suicide going ahead with pay as you go strategy. It's not sustaining pattern
Problem is canva is they’re pushing the AI shit way too hard. Can’t trust em, won’t trust em. I’m learning programming so I can create a base for Adobe CC competition- but open source.
That's mad man, good luck 🙌
It will become more popular after the US government fines adobe huge amounts and adobe passes on the cost to their customers.
Just a matter of time
Love the final result and will definitely try out the tutorial, thanks so much for that! I wonder if the PS file can be made into some kind of template for different texts or shapes, so I don't need to go through this process every time? (for all the amazing posters I will be creating lol )
maybe, not sure how to though, especially around the part where needs to make a text (glass type) selection of the background. Thanks for the feedback, and let me know if you manage to nail it 🙏
I'm still waiting for Affinity to have a software like After effects. Cause I still need AE to make motion design, that's why I can't move to Affinity.
It'll take them time since they are static graphic orientated
I'll think you'll have more luck waiting for Black Magic Fusion to get as good as AE rather than Affinity
I don't know what you need it for but check out Rive for sure (:

Amazing job - love the logotype - and great video. As designers, you know, no matter the field of application sometimes we struggle in the blank paper block. This method is cool and useful, and the base of a transdisciplinary mind
exactly, the best way to start is to start with just anything 😉
affinity suite "WILL BE" as powerful as Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign maybe along the road. I bought it and they still miss some crucial feature (and AI). I look forward to see the 2.6 and next versions
Pretty sure most people don't want the ai.
We often think that it lacks of something, but if we rewire how we think about production side of the design, the tool is more than sufficient. More tools will be coming for sure
The tutorial is great, and very useful, but everytime I try to follow the steps, Firefly crops my text :c
Mate you should do more vidoes 💯👍
I tried to del my comment, but RUclips won't allow me! Again, my apologies 😊
I am so sorry for my comment Anton! The tutorial is great, and I was just in a bad mood lol, trying to get a glass effect done for a project on a tight deadline, and I couldn't follow. My apologies ❤, and yes I did find the longer tutorial on this effect later 😊😊!
I would love to be able to create templates in Affinity that my clients and quickly edit in Canva. The often don't need to edit everything, but to be able to lock some elements and pass them off to Canva would be great.
I feel that is something they'd be able to make pretty easily, just like in Adobe Express
TEEEE ❤
I used to learn that by myself 6 years ago. I'm as happy as sad to see that someone did this bideo before I was able to do. But really good work !
😂🙏 thanks. Did you have any success?
@@naturetonyx no, I did a lot of things, the barrier grid animation that I did by myself, spiroglyphs that I did by myself... I'm trying to get these things to make coloring books, tattoos, mixing that with traditional art, I'm sure I could mix Barrier grid animation with ascii art 🤔 Thank you for your tutorial. I was too self-centered to learn to people ^^

How did you get such a clean, white or black background on some of the final versions? Every time i try, there are shadows and folds in the background. What can i do?
you should place your Style Reference image/texture/shape masked out against clean black background 👌
Canva got a great deal. Now to take on Adobe.
got your popcorn ready?
Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone! It was extremely helpful. Wanna try some of your other works too.
appreciate the feedback man 🙏

check my other video with blue thumb - it's slower 👌
Hey Anton! I really like your work. As an aspiring graphic designer, I am looking for a graphic tablet. Which one are you using?
hey thanks for asking but I'm only using Wacom for my mac
so nice bro
cheers bro 🙏
This is insane, Anton! Kudos for such a great tutorial! Loved it. Very clever and beautiful!
glad you enjoyed 🙏
WOW the last part says it all, amazing bravo👏👏
yep all the magic happens for those who wait 😉
Thank you Anton for this workflow and inspiration ;)
you're welcome 🙏 thanks for support
That was cool man thx. Can you explain why do you add and delete the black layer? I lost you there
thanks 🙏 if you mean the part on 2:08 - it's just a quickest way to set the displacement mask to be the same dimensions as your original comp. Black layer (or any other colour) is a dimension setter, you should get rid of it after 👍 hope that helps
