A Diesel Powered Day at the East Broad Top
Today's video was supposed to be of EBT #16 however after it had an issue, we ended up chasing the East Broad Top's M-7 Diesel. Although it was a bit rainy, central PA is just such a special place. Climb aboard to journey with me. I hope you enjoy and as always, God Bless!!!

On Saturday September 7th, I made the drive over to the World Famous Horseshoe Curve to catch Norfolk Southern and Amtrak. It was a blast as always and I hope you enjoy. This was my first visit to the curve since getting the drone which definitely helped show how substantial the curve is. I hope you enjoy and as always, God Bless!!!

Today's video was filmed on August 31st. I headed up to the Everett railroad to chase their Steam into the Sunset train. Unfortunately, the sunset wasn't great due to the cloudy skies but it was still a great chase to the end of the line. I hope you enjoy and as always, God Bless!!!

Todays video is a chase of EBT #16. Unfortunately this is only the 11am train as 16 had a mechanical issue causing it to be taken out of service after this train. The rest of the days trains were pulled by the EBT's M-7 diesel. This will however be featured in another video. I hope you enjoy the chase and as always, God Bless!!!

Chasing the Cumbres and Toltec Across State Lines

Back In July I decided to make the trek up to Chama New Mexico to chase the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. The power today was oil burning 2-8-2 Mikado #489. Typically, another engine would have led down the mountain however on this day at Osier they spun #489 and had it lead back to Chama. I hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery of New Mexico and Colorado and as always, God Bless!!!

I decided to try again for a beautiful sunset. This was a very successful endeavor. I spent the evening in Willard. I began with an attempt at a shot on the Willard Curve. Unfortunately the westbound I was hoping for got there just as I arrived so I could only get a shot of it next to the road. I decided since its hard to predict trains at the curve, I'd move to one of the crossings in town. Th...

While watching the normal midday action, I caught a 78 car ballast train. Although out of frame, you can hear a weird noise from one of the cars. After waiting on some other trains I heard that it was cleared to begin moving at 10 mph to a siding where it could set off the faulty ...

Great job on 2926. Hope all goes well with the roundhouse. Also it amazes me that BNSF allows a steam engine to roll down their rails especially their main line. Well goes to show that BNSF isn't completely against steam and maybe in the future we can see more things happening if BNSF continues this path. I hope larger railways can take note from the publicity Union Pacific is drawing in by having steam running down there rails.

The rails that 2926 went on are actually New Mexico DOT tracks. The state has been very helpful with this group, since they see the potential tourism once 2926 pulls actual mainline excursions out of Albuquerque.

What a beast!! Nice video. We currently have a big broad gauge 5'3 (1600mm) Northern 4-8-4 being restored to operational order here in South Australia. When completed it will be running on SteamRanger's preserved 50-mile or 80 km-long branch line between Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills down to the resort coastal town of Victor Harbor. It will be Australia's only operational Northern type when restoration is complete. It's a 200-ton 4-8-4 with a 12-wheel tender. But this thing you have here makes our 4-8-4 look like a welfare case lol. Number 520 Sir Malcolm Barclay Harvey attained a speed of 78mph on the Main North Line to Port Pirie, but from reading about your behemoth, your beauty can attain a speed over 100 mph. Very impressive. Tell me, would they ever allow 2926 to get up to that speed again? Interestingly, our 4-8-4's design almost resembles the front end of the famous T1 4-4-4-4 of the old Pennsy, which, Mr F H Harrison, Chief Mechanical Engineer of the South Australian Railways (SAR) took his inspiration from. Can't wait to see more of this beauty in action. I've subscribed today too! You're more than welcome to check out my channel if you want as well. I also volunteer in rail preservation here in SA. Very rewarding by far. Keep up the great work over there. Keep well. Regards, Caleb from South Australia!
