    11:26 A very nice discussion the definitions and part of the history on stem cells in the USA so far. It’s a little frustrating to hear someone in the field mispronounce totipotent and multipotent. It’s not said the same way as pluripotent which is being said correctly. The same goes for the word Mesenchymal which is usually mispronounced. When someone is speaking to people who don’t know the terminology and they hear it incorrectly pronounced then we have a bunch of people saying it wrong.

    Thank you for doing and sharing this milestone step. Can someone help me understand how these stem cells per for right in a petri dish? Are there additional nutrients or other stimulations given for this? I can’t believe the study’s petri dish creates I needed increased reproduction in the count of stem cells. At this point, my assumption is that this is a defined practice that falls outside of this trial please I want to tell my kids the answers to their questions that they were wanting to ask in school meiosis versus mitosis is the current challenge and this will be coming.

    I was advised by a physician, that stem cells can’t be released from the matrix they are within [in the fat] without using certain enzymes (collagenase) that are illegal to use in the United States, for that purpose. The FDA constitutes these alterations as creating a “drug”…Has this changed?

    • @hopebiosciences
      @hopebiosciences Месяц назад

      This is correct. The product we make is considered a biological drug in the United States. In a future episode, we will discuss this topic in detail!

    How do you test for and confirm function of msc’s before you use them? Thanks 🙏

    • @hopebiosciences
      @hopebiosciences Месяц назад

      The production process has been validated to ensure that what we produce is functional and healthy. When stem cells are made and released for each patient, they are tested at each release. We test them for sterility (bacteria and fungi), mycoplasma, endotoxin, gram staining, cell markers, viability and appearance.

    I’ve spoken with researchers around the world…every one of them agreed that msc’s modulate the immune system response 👍. Inflammation is a key driver to disease…modulate the immune system may lead to adjusting inflammation (up/down) and may either allow the body to then repair or augment/assist in the repair 🎊 🎉 I’ve had two msc treatments for autoimmune and systemic inflammation from an unknown cause.🙏🙏🙏

    My brother, age 43, had an accident 6.18.2024. He’s made some improvements, doctors want him to go to long term care. He can walk, limited conversation, confusion. He’s a union worker, due to heavy rains, he did not accumulate enough hours to be covered by insurance. I live in Texas, would be able to take him to all appointments. This is his only chance of getting this kind treatment. I did call Carmen Duron, left a message. I will be sending a follow up email.

    Dear Dr. Chang, I am excited to see your work. I was interested in Stem Cell clinical trial for my Long Covid recovery. My doctor's response was, "... Since the cells are from my own body hence they will have inflammatory markers, and they will not help". I can see that the clinical trial is in progress and might end soon. Is there a way we can learn about the outcome?

      In clinical trials, MSCs have shown efficacy for musculoskeletal conditions. We have seen efficacy in Rheumatoid Arthritis as documented here: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35241141/ Please keep in mind: not all stem cells are created equal. Therefore result will be dependent on the quality of the products being administered.

    It's not my profession but I've been learning about cell biology so this video was useful to me. Thanks for this. I have learnt that stem cells are cells which haven't differentiated yet, and a quick chat with chatGPT has informed me what pluripotent and multipotent mean. So pluripotent is when the cell is able to differentiate into almost any cell type, and multipotent is when the cell is able to differentiate into many different cell types but not all. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm here to learn.

    But it works !!! Big pharma will prevent it they don’t want people to heal. I know it works. There’s plenty of evidence or three stemming international. He shows it and I’m sure your company does. Also, if you google it they tell you it’s experimental bunch of crap. We don’t have to wait 70 years for double blind gold standard nonsense it works.
