1. Make a VRMMO, Make it accessible to the most people possible! Minimize things that cause motion sickness while maximizing things that increase socialization and the grind people like. 2. You may not like it, but anime is what peak aesthetics according to VRChat and all those dumb VRMMOs you referenced looks like, so hedge your bets on that(you can even save money), and evade all these uncanny valley Mark Zuckerburgesk models. 3. Multiplayer in VR is very finicky. There is a reason every multiplayer focused VR game barely has 50 players on the steam charts. I honestly think VR just isnt there yet sadly...just gotta wait some more.

the first company that makes a real and GOOD VRMMO will earn billions... something like WoW did. it's a niche, you know, but it's on things like that that the biggest businesses are made. only today's world is ruled by cold calculation and accountants and very few companies are brave enough to take a risk... and imagine... the first VRMMO game in any universe (it could be SAO or any other popular anime, Star Wars, LoTR, Warhammer, whatever... or even something completely new as long as it's GOOD and not lazy). after all, such a company that manages it will earn billions in the long run. as for me SAO would be perfect for something like that. the lore is ready, and the sword fights are perfect for VR... and there are millions of fans who would pay any amount of money for it.. and unlike other universes, designing anime style graphics is definitely much cheaper than anything else

I know I'm a little late this is just something i wanna throw out there for anyone who comes across it. In my opinion the best VR game out there is SkyrimVR. (Obviously not the base game) But with mods. SkyrimVR is an incredible experience beyond any other VR game on the market. However you need a pretty high end pc to run it with the amount of mods to make it amazing. If someone where to make a stable multiplayer mod for SkyrimVR and market it properly it would be GAME CHANGING. We would get that amazing vrmmo that we all want, and not only that it would be a learning experience for anyone to take notes on how a VRMMO should be. But for some reason, nobody has decided to make such a mod.

Why no vr mmos? tldr: because noone wants to spend 50-100mil to develop one Tbh, thats alot of money, like a 5 star hotel that may not generate income after 4 years

With Zenith, we actually got a really promising MMO, it was VERY good, but was owned by a cash grab company. Ramen vr never listened to the public and only did what they wanted with Zenith. They only did what they felt like it would bring more money. Instead they should have listened to the public, make the ppl that play the game stay and grow slowly but steady. they build a pool for people to come up with features and the most voted features weren't even addressed, instead they focused on the ones that people didn't vote...

I tend to feel like most people who want this sort of thing should just get a Steam Deck instead but... Honestly if the Steam Deck was just a console I think its form factor would make it not very compelling for bringing anywhere and playing anywhere. Thing is it's not just a console. I'm watching this with my Deck right now, typing this message on its silly trackpad keyboard. It works perfectly as a handheld gaming PC, the sort of do-all device that I want to bring on the go with me a lot despite its non-pocketability. I think if all it could do was games, I'd be leaving it at home a lot more often than I do. So with that in mind, maybe the Portal does make sense, seeing as all it can do is games...? Maybe...
