I am getting my season tickets, who is our next Bazzana? go beavs!
I was on San Jac 89 and 90 national championship teams. Transferred to Rice in 91 under David Hall. That year when Rice was looking for a head coach my Mom went to Rice athletic director Bobby May and told him about Graham and what he did for me and the fact he wins and is a genius. Every time I saw Graham many years later he always said “you realize your Mom helped me get to Rice”. I only found out this story this year when my Mom told me after his passing. True story and I have many more. To this day 34yrs later I am in group texts with my San Jac buddies. So many stories!
OH, NOOO!
⚾️
Geaux Tigers!
Ariel Antigua is dealing with injuries again
Hopefully Stanford and Cal come back to the pac 12.
Love the top 100 episodes but I wish they were every year instead of every 2! Go Vols! The last 5 years have been incredible. Better than I could’ve dreamed. My top 5 teams for the next 5 years (in no order): Tennessee LSU Florida Texas (sorry A&M fans) FSU
Tennessee will be number 1 for next 20
I'm so excited for rhis coming season. Geaux Tigers 🐅
Arkansas is #1 over the last decade If you look at any metric other than championships.
I think its impressive that Arkansas is still in the Top 5 without a Championship. Would love to have gotten the one in 2018.
Sad isn't it...
cool
Geaux Tigers!
Such a great and inspiring interview.
How about that crowd that showed up for the Aggies fall ball game!
Ben McKee is the best to cover Vol baseball! Love the podcast!
Feels good being #1.....National Champs.............doesn't it @scrappydawg? I love the smell of envy in the evening.
My team has many more and didn't cheat to get them.
@@scrappydawg7577 Tennessee did not either. You are a very small man. Do better.
Everybody and there mamma knows they use super duper magic bats at UT. Vitello is such a snake. Dude is dirty as they come. Lied to my cousin promising this and that only to get to fall camp and have 7 guys fighting for 1 spot. His day will come.
even tho all bats are examined and checked lol stop hating just bc a guy took a mediocre program to greatness. idc if you don’t like Tony but stop making up conspiracy theories just bc you don’t like him. sounding really desperate
envy is not a good look, just sayin'
@@cameronrivera2449 blah blah blah shaved bats do not appear to be altered in compression tests. Anyone with a brain can see the difference. Some teams exit velos are higher than MLB teams. If my school sucked forever and then all of the sudden was good i would ignore the cheating too.
@@scrappydawg7577 You gonna ignore the type of bats when commenting on exit velos MLB vs college? How do you explain all of these Tennessee hitters continuing to be studs once they get to the league? If it's so easy to shave bats, why isn't everyone else doing it? Everything about your comment shows lack of critical thinking.
Baseball recruiting is tough because they used to only have a small number of scholarships and they don’t know who’s going to be drafted until late summer. Tony V is a player’s coach and his guys love him. It’s sad you cannot see that.
1 answer: BEAV
GEAUX Tigers!
Go Gators
Love Coach Casey I could listen to him for hours. The guy will never need to buy a dinner or drink for himself in Corvallis.
Would y'all PLEASE break these conversations down in the timeline? We can skip to the topic or in this case the College team schedule yall was discussingz
Former Power 5 baseball player here. One thing I would like to see come from this. If they’re going to agree to 34 full scholarships for baseball moving forward then in my opinion, former scholarship collegiate baseball players who were in the 11.7 scholarship limit should have their student loans wiped clean then by their schools/ncaa. In my opinion and I am sure a lot of other former scholarship baseball players would share the same opinion, I dont care if I see a dime from the settlement. I would much rather them just wipe the student loans away since had this been agreed to a while ago none of us would have had student loans to begin with. Us former players get tacked on with debts still, even though we played, represented, and were a big part of the image of our university just like the current players. Ncaa should just do the right thing and cover former student athletes student loans, and current and future student athletes can get that and get the benefits of being paid. Us former players would like to just see the student loans covered or paid the amount of the yearly tuition for your school and how many years you were with the program. The current settlement they had Im just not sure I see a path in the agreement for previous baseball players back in 2016 for example getting a big enough slice of the pie for it to be fair.
How could yall not mention Paul Manieri playing LSU??
Maryland fan here. Glad to see a podcast devoted entirely to Big 10 baseball. I'd like to see more of these. I agree w most of Mike's proposals. I'm in favor of going to 32 hosts for the NCAA tourney and a best 2 of 3 for the first round. I'm glad to hear that the Big 10 is going to a 30-game conference schedule and 12 teams in the conference tournament (will it start this year or next year?). I agree that the Big 10 needs more TV exposure, not only on ESPN but on the main Big 10 network channel. Last year, out of 24 conference games, Maryland had only 3 games on the main channel and probably something similar for the other schools. I also think I like starting the season at least a week later. That would help not only Big 10 teams but northern schools in general. I think there were some northern schools that didnt have a home game until halfway thru the season. But I dont like expanding the NCAA field to 72 games. 64 is the perfect number.
Lmao now he doesn’t have a job 💀💀
Would a potential settlement to the NCAA lawsuit be that all student athletes would achieve full scholarships (eg. 34 in baseball)and eliminate NIL opportunities?
Such a fantastic video. It was a joy to watch.
His brother Tryson is good too
Kudos to camera work! SMFH
You have to do something about Mark's audio quality he was breaking up too much
I like the idea of Justin Lamkin being a leverage reliever instead of in the rotation. Myles Patton would be my prediction to land in the rotation
again love the content fellas
Love the SEC content fellas!
You guys always provide great content. With these long videos, could y'all put a subject line on each segments. For instance so when you change topics we can fast forward to that portion of the video. That would be fantastic.
I don't understand how this is "costing money" as well, doesn't the University just not charge them tuition? Does the athletic dept write a tuition check to the University? That's the only way I see it costing money. But like you said maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture.
College Baseball looks like its gonna have a close to year round following now!
Nobody cares about exit velocity. NOBODY!!
terrific, critical analysis was awesome. thank you.
Mark, you are incorrect RE: Michael Braswell. He fielded 940. However, yes he did hit well, even in SEC play , but with a modest 4 HR's on the season.
Another fantastic video. You guys have the best college baseball content around. Next year when y'all are in Omaha we need more shows with you all together.
Mike, you are incorrect Michael was before average at SS. I think he lead the conference in errors at his position. It batting was surprisingly good.
LSU is going to dominate next year. Maybe another ⚾️ National Championship
Welcome to Chicago!
Apparently, everybody felt the synergy except for Schloss, Cain, and Weiner. He's a joke! Lastly, make no mistake, the checks are being written by the BMA's. A&M is better off without him, as he is a 100% cultural misfit for that university.
I think non- SEC/ACC leagues will still get poached based on just wanting to play in better leagues.
No doubt that Vols and A&M were easily the most two complete teams. A&M has a shot to repeat as most their roster comes back. Texas and Schloss have a rebuild ahead of them...gonna be quick but doubtful they are very competitive next year in SEC. Any YES it was absolutely spiteful. CDC is known for this. A&M countered and came out ahead. Glad Texas is happy w Schloss as A&M is happy they paid us for the trash. Earley is our man.
Tennessee is going to be good. Funny how you're talking about Schloss, when you would be completely opposite if he stayed.
@@MWakefield82He didn't say Schloss was a bad coach he said that program was in need of a rebuild. Of course if Schloss stayed Aggies would be happy and there's not anyone who is saying otherwise. Not sure what gotcha you think you've got here
@@MWakefield82 Jim is a solid program builder, and he will probably see a shitload of success at Texas. Fuck yeah Aggies wouldn’t have a problem if he stayed. The fallacy in your argument is that it doesn’t matter if he’d stayed - he didn’t; and it’s not only the manner in which he left, but also where he went, that will have the college sports industry will use as an example of “what not to do” for decades..
Go Gators
Great podcast gents. Well done. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Earley will be back in Omaha with the Aggies next season
