A nice and realistic layout the time period must be like late thirties or early to mid forties in that setting.

Well done. I'll bet you only captured a fraction of all the signs and billboards that are everywhere on his layout. We are heading back up to Peabody to see George and Cathy on the 17th of August. Visiting that layout NEVER gets old!

George has been known to say that he's really fast when it comes to building stuff.....but I just don't get it....I can't seem to get anything done these days.....perhaps I'm watching too many railroad/modeling videos......🤔 and The Indoor Railfan is adding to my frustration.....But thanks anyway.

It's generally thought that this layout is set in 1930. An article in Model Railroader about it many eyars ago had a picture of the street. On the street was a 1934 Mercedes Benz 540K roadster (I have that same model) painted to look like it was rusty. Also, there was an open-top double deck solid tire London bus from about 1914. Stuff like that ruins the credibilty of the layout. It also shows a lack of proper road vehicles of that era that are available in HO scale like Ford Model Ts, Plymouths, Studebakers, Nashes and so forth. 2 and 4 door sedans. Cars that people actually drove back then.

The guy painted on the wall at 1:31 sure looks like Curly Howard.

layout is a historic and it needs to be safe for the future of model railroad this is the world's best railroad I ever seen I need to go to the museum so it could be saved for future generations

Marx guy here, are you located in New Hampshire USA? I`ve been looking for R/Rs in the area. My videos speak for themselves. Bingo Cigars I don`t remember, with Dad, as a kid I toured the 7-20-4 factory on Canal Street in Manchester. We would go to the Lionel Store on Hanover Street in the years 1956-59.

This is an astonishingly, beautiful layout. I wish George Sellios would seriously consider showing us an in-cab view of his famous Franklin & South Manchester layout. I'm sure seeing the layout from the train operator's view would be AWESOME. 😊
