love it! just visited hongcun and zhujiajiao nearby shanghai - first one was a bit more remote, so less touristy and more authentic. They started building these towns 10 years ago
a quick google search shows that Furong was in a popular enough movie that won the golden award in 1987. it got them so much tourists they just renamed the town to hibiscus town. the town itself was founded in 202 BC. my math might be a little off but i don't think that was 10 years ago lol.

You managed to visit Tianzi mountain, ride up Bailong elevator, explore Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie and then Huangshi in one day? I’m curious because I’m plotting my route for my upcoming trip this fall.
@@sylai3483 tianzi mountain was day 1. Day 2 was bailong elevator -> yuan jia jie -> yang jia jie -> huangshizhai
