I had been suffering so bad, I was being abused by my doctor my pain clinic they stripped my pain meds les than half . I lay in my bed bedridden two years and I was at the end. I googled BUDDHA 101. I Came across wonderful human named Ajahn Brahm. I started listening to him an meditating I couldn't even fall asleep unless I meditated listening to Ajahn Brahm. Then one day something' strange happened I felt so much intense peace n happiness calm it lasted about a week. I think I experienced the enlightenment. That nothing anyone could do could hurt me I felt a child's peace n happiness for a week it was one of the greatest times in my adult life. At that time I realized Ajahn Brahm saved my life. Childhood ful of neglect no love than an adult life of the same this is what I end up with at the end of my life. Peace n health is equally needed to have a good life. Anyway anyone trying to decide to meditate do it it will SAVE your life give u your life back. I'm so grateful for Buddhism I think it's the gift that keeps on giving meditate n you can have peace for the time. Meditate gave me my life again and our Honorable Ajahn Brahm was the teacher so wise fun funny kind. Only a Buddhist monk can show u how to have peace again. I'm for ever greatfull

All explanations about the non-self are all right, however the real experience of non-self has absolutely nothing to do with words, I repeat nothing, simply because it is innefable, it is not a narration, it is an experience. I ask you to seat in the lotus position and I run arround you screaming fire, fire, flames, great fire, and you never burn. You'll see by yourself when you experience your non-self.
