Hey Buzz, this is Mike Johnson. Haven't heard from you in quite awhile. Sorry to hear about your health issues. I had a stroke about 5 years ago, double heart bypass surgery in June 2024, and will be 78 this June. On another good note, our yodeling friend Janet McBride is still above ground and contacted me today to say she's being inducted into the International Western Music Association Hall of Fame. Hey, this is Buzz Goertzen, the Idaho yodeler and I’m still above ground. I just found these comments and I am surprised to see them. I want to thank everybody for their compliments. I am now 87 years old and with heart failure. I find it very hard to yodel, and sing like I used to but thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments and it really has made my day.

My very good friend, Buzz, at his very best.

Buzz came through the Kootenaney BC curches in the early 80's, and I went to listen to him share the Gospel in his own unique way. I recall purchasing one of his cassettes after the musical church service. I loved his form of worship music. Songs that he wrote and sang from the heart still touch my spitit 40+ yrears later. For years I have found myself singing little ditties of the parts of his songs that I could remember. Just for kicks today when I found myself humming and yodeling, I thought I would type his name in RUclips and see if anything popped up. Cannot express just how surprised and HAPPY I was to come across his mudic on this site! Am going to be sharing this lovely gem on FB!
