    I’ve tried several 300’s and the fit and finish sucked compared to the Forefronts! That is, the sole grinding on the 300’s look like it was done by a drunk, inexperienced or someone who could not have cared less on a Friday afternoon! Horrible. I have around 9 pairs or so now of JK’s, 300’s, OT’s, OT Pros, Forefronts. The 300’s are junk compared to the others. For the money, the Whites Perry Selects are a way better value that the 300’s. Higher quality leather, more color options, better construction, it’s not even close. Different style but, the same Christy sole!

    Funnily enough, I just found your video by looking for info on these boots, but for a different non work-related purpose. I am an ER nurse, but just purchased the black Bison Forefront's to have as a very high quality motorcycle boot. Don't think I"ll ever convince myself to wear them in the ED, but ya never know! I know they'd definitely hold up to the task. If I decide I wanted to wear a set of boots in the ED, maybe I'd choose the Origin Coronado's instead if I can even stomach the idea of getting various body fluids on 'em, since they're about half the price 🤣. I hear ya about the Hoka's too! As much as I love them for their comfort and width selections, their outsoles just don't hold up very long for the kinda miles we're putting in on our feet all day. I did recently purchase the leather Bondi's with the heavier duty slip-resistant outsole and I've noticed it's a night and day difference with those and much less noticeable wear. They are quality thick leather and did take a few weeks to fully break-in, but they fit very comfortably after break-in. So if you did want to go back to Hoka's at some point, I'd highly recommend the leather Bondi's for the inevitable body fluids we encounter. I don't think you'd be disappointed, since like me, you appreciate quality, comfortable footwear. Anyway, before I ramble on too much, I can't wait to try out the Bison Forefront's and I'm sure I'm gonna love them! Glad I didn't purchase the limited edition black bison Origin's (even though they look super sweet) and chose the JK's over them. The pattern of the hide on the JK's is just mesmerizing Can't wait to see it in person but the 14-16 week lead-time's gonna kill me!! 😆

      Thanks for the insight man!! Yeah I was a little disappointed that the bison came out so soon after I got my boots. I would have got them for sure. The grains amazing! Going from Nola’s to boots made a substantial difference in my back pain and plantar fasciitis. It would be difficult for me to want to switch back. Plus boots seem to be a conversation piece in the hospital.

      @@theautonurse7666 When you re-sole these, do you intend on keeping the Christy sole? @@theautonurse7666 Hey dude! Question for ya: Do you remember how long it took for the arch support to break in on your Forefronts? I know you've had them for a while, so it's probably not even a thought you've had with them recently. I actually was able to snag a pair of canyon bison forefronts on their newest release, since they had them in stock for my 5E width too! Just got them in yesterday. I've been wearing them around the house and the leather is so supple that they're not kidding when they say no real break-in period as far as the leather is concerned (especially this bison leather). The thing that's somewhat bothering me though is the inner arch support. I guess maybe my feet were flatter than I thought, because I can definitely tell it's altering my foot geometry... Almost to where it's somewhat uncomfortable. Do you remember any of this with yours when you first got them? I know everyone's got different foot shapes, but given the fact I'm used to wearing sneakers 99% of the time, I guess I've lost more of the arch than I thought I did, even though I do still have a reasonable arch on the medial side. Let me know what you think. I'm gonna wear them each day I'm off this weekend and try and break them in as much as possible around the house (doing my best not to beat them up too much within the return window, just in case). If they're still somewhat uncomfortable in the arch region early next week after Christmas, I'll probably reach out to JK and just ask them what I can expect and make sure it's relatively normal when not accustomed to these types of boots. I really love the boots and I'm anticipating this is probably just a normal occurrence, especially when not used to these PNW types of boots, but it's the complete opposite of the break-in period with my Origins with their stiffer leather and nonexistent arch support with the insole removed to accommodate my foot width 🤣.

    JK recommends that you do not oil near the lace eyelets, it'll make the leather too soft and the eyelets may pullout. Checkout their video on oiling/conditioning. Thanks for the video, I just ordered a pair for daily wear. Sneakers have become so pathetic, the foam loses support after a few months and causes a bunch of alignment issues with ankles, hips and back. I've waisted at least double the cost of these boots in the last five years on sneakers that I have to throw away before the tread is even worn down just because the foam loses a bit of support. I already own the superduty and love them, wear them everyday as daily drivers, great boots as well!

    Hey there! I work in a hospital in engineering/maintenance ,, I have has the same issues with my feet, and hokas aren’t cutting it for me anymore. I have been looking at getting a pair of the JKs. My question is,, are the soles flexible? I can’t wear a flexible sole with my feet issues. Are they similar to the hokas as far as firmness?? Thanks

      @theautonurse7666 2 года назад

      Hey thanks for watching! So the s”boots them selves are flexible enough to bend well at the toe box but the arch support in the sole is very firm .
