This is the best braided foundation (in my opinion) to wear under headband wigs. It allows the wig to lay flat in the back without bulk. It allows the bulk to be distributed evenly throughout the foundation. It’s great for clients with thick and/or long hair.

How often do you have to get touch-ups?
@@sweetpeasurvivor8784 I’ve done it every 4wks but my hair is so thick that it’s really grown out and tangled by then. I’m going to try it at the 3wks mark next month to see if that’s better for me

I started my own microlocs and its been a year. The thing is it doesn't really have a style😂. It's still a lil short and I dont want to attempt to cut it in a style my self lol. I love your cut though

🚨If any Micro Loc experts seeing this, can you tell me how to get those nice and clean parts when retightening? 😫 I’m a retired Braider so I believe that’s why it bothers me more than ever because clean parts are important. I spritz my hair with water and then tie them. Should I be using products for (regular) locs on them?
I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I maintained my own and several others. Forcing your parts clean with a comb which is commonly shown online will mean breaking hair from other sections that have merged into other locs. Your parts will be clean, but your locs will thin out over time and fall off. I recommend you braid and band your hair on wash day, wash and condition every 2 weeks, and make sure your hair is fully dry before removing the bands. This will keep your hair from merging and keep your parts clean. Spraying water daily will cause your parts to merge, so no water unless you really need it especially on your roots. As far as products, keep your ends moisturized by applying light oil to the shaft and ends of the loc on wash days and your locs will thrive! A light brush daily on your ends and shaft will keep lint and debris from setting into your locs. Your hair is beautiful! ❤
