Should I buy?

There appears to be an issue with the blades being significantly higher than the out-feed table.

When you cut the track splinter guard the first time...do you engage the scoring blade? Or keep it disengaged? What if the scoring blade is misalilgned?

120mm is close to 4 3/4 inches. 1x6 base molding is 5 1/2 inches. Might be useful in the UK but not in the USA

Could this be placed in a loft to stand on loft boards?

How has this lathe held up ? It’s been a few years. I am looking to buy one.

How tight are the draws to the top, will small screws stay in their individual compartments/ tubs or is there a chance of them jumping out into other compartments/ tubs

Only question is, "Does it make it easy to raise them up to the table height for cutting????"

Too much crap music noise . No instruction on what size screws to use , or on what depth to drill ? Useless video ,, Think I'll take this back to Screwfix ..

Take a good look at how thick/wide the angle pointer of the FS-WA is - this is/will be the accuracy you are getting out of this system.

Get the cordless version out festool!!!

What is the bevel angle?

Bought this - the circular HSS cuts okay and can be resharpened easy enough and lasts a decent amount of time before you need to do so. Biggest issue is the hex bolt/Allen key configuration. The hex bolt that holds the cutter in place becomes almost welded in place after use and even with liberal WD40 use is very hard to slacken. I have slashed fingers several times trying to get the hex bolt slack with the provided Allen key as its so embedded. After only a few times of use the hex bolt head has become so badly chewed from slippage it needs replaced but there is no mention of what size it is or where to replace that part. The square HSS cutter I have given up trying to use as its next to useless - the diamond shaped cutter I have yet to find a use for. I bought this as beginner friendly - watch your fingers when trying to slacken off the hex bolt that is embedded. Doesnt rapidly remove Oak wood I found.

Hi can you attach router lift to this table so you can adjust the depth of cut ?

Theres no real need for the angle finder. You cope inside corners, and you cut your outside corners 45.5-46° and youll have a tight miter.

I've been working with this saw but I've found some of the parts very inadequate for everyday use. The rear extension is very handy but flimsy. After use I placed the saw down on the rubber feet but I placed it down at a slight angle but it buckled on the edge being only 1.2 mm thick, slightly more than car panels. For the price of the saw very cheap part.

Thanks to Biden/Kamala's inflation I can not afford to buy a new lathe.

I purchased this because my house has Pella casement windows that needed to be refinished. The casements have a lot of detail. Obviously Festool is not able to duplicate every profile, but after learning about the diy profile kit I thought this was the ticket. After going through 5 DIY profile kit I have come to the conclusion that this was a total waist of money and time. No matter how hard I tried I was unable to duplicate the any profile with the kit. The sander is heavy and not balanced. If the you readjust your grip in the slightest, the foam would take on a different shape…total gar! And keeping with Festool standard, the kits were very expensive. In my opinion this sander is a complete waist of money! Just so you know I own 6 other Festool sanders, miter saw, 2 track saws, Domino, 3 routers, router table, Planex 2, CT36, CT36AC, 3 drills etc…think you get the point. This sander is hands down the biggest waste of money I ever spent on a Festool item.

I've no software, are these in this video available for free download or do they need to be purchased. I have v carve and v milling software that I use with a Denford 2600 router, can this work also or is the software you use in this video better

I’ll get it when I can plug it into a normal outlet. Not until then, though. It is a perfect saw for me to replace the one I have, but I do not want to deal with batteries. I just spent a year eliminating batteries & not going back.

How many coats of the cellulose sealer do you recommend?

Perfect I got one for Christmas so handy to fit hover and dust bag . Very powerful cutting be careful. Value 120% strong steady.
