    I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a wandering steering issue on low mile "tight" 2nd Gen front end. No one seems to have answers... everything anyone talks about is high mile worn out Blah Blah Blah. Dodge had a serious steering flaw on second GENs from new that no one seems to know how to fix😕

    • @wheelinndealin
      @wheelinndealin 6 месяцев назад

      It could be play in the steering box itself. A common mistake is a shop will tighten the steering box which makes it harder to turn the wheel but doesn’t actually eliminate any play caused by worn out parts. Check your track bar too, I replaced mine and it helped out quite a bit, I made a video on that aswell.

    I had never built a thing in my life until I built my 20x25 garage. Completely by myself, I was able to pull it off. I have only the garage door left to do. The thing I got the most anger out of was driving in the screws sometimes. If I wasn't perfectly balanced, I'd slip and i caused some dents in mine. Clamps!! Most important when alone to hold one end while lining up the other of everything. I got an 8 ft high garage....I would go 10 if I had it all over to do. Mine was a Frontier and I trimmed off 2 ft of the siding along the base. For the price difference it's worth not trimming that siding and height gain would be good to have. 90 ft snow load here so bracing is like this one. No engineered plans but i went thicker gage for roof. I don't have side bracing like the hat channels one this one either so considering adding some bracing along back and sides. I would have made my slab a foot wider all around and I'd have opted for the lean-to as well. My lot is sloping and spring runoff, and rain if rains hard enough does go in between my concrete and base rails. I dont really know what to do to prevent that other than to dig out around it, plastic layer laid a few feet out and up the slab to the base, placing rock on the plastic?? Ill try it. Im very happy with it and worth every penny.

      @peleger1 Год назад

      I'm happy with mine, for what it's worth. I live at 10,000 ft and heavy snow. My approach looked like this too. I dug out where I'm adding a lean-to next year and used that material filling in 2.5 feet sloping to level on the other side, packed it down, 25 ft length, and got free millings from the county....all by hand in the rockies. It sucked!

    My 2017 sportsman 450ho with 380 hrs on it just got written off today 10 months out of warranty. Woodruff key sheared and piston hit the valves and I dunno… the repair shop I brought it too says the powerplant is shot top n bottom. Im trying to plead my case to polaris but otherwise my only options are buying a used engine and swapping or doing a rebuild myself

    • @wheelinndealin
      @wheelinndealin Год назад

      Wow that sucks, kinda old machine at this point but extremely low hours. Is that common for those motors to do that? As for a motor replacement it’s not so bad to do, I recently replaced my oil pan and had to remove the motor and disassembly took me probably 4 hours, just stay organized when you do it and make sure you have a clutch puller tool

    • @wrenchboostboi8994
      @wrenchboostboi8994 Год назад

      @@wheelinndealin yes, it apparently happens often with the 570 and sometimes with the 450. Although, it seems rare that it causes this much damage.. ive only found and read of a few different cases. I don’t think finding a used engine in my area for a reasonable price is ever going to happen. They run at about 3500$ plus tax and that’s crazy expensive for the value of the machine, probably more than half its total value. My most viable option is a rebuild, so im wondering how extensive that would be? I know I can handle it but hopefully its just top end lol a full rebuild would be a long go

      I don’t see why not. I would still recommend setting concrete piers for the main beams to land on. Your biggest worry will be the structure flexing as it settles and you will see that quickly on the sheet metal if it bends flexes or bows.
