An option for third person would be kinda cool but there are so many dialogue/ story moments that only work in first person. The game really gets in your face sometimes and it makes important moments feel really extreme in a cool way. Like imagine the confrontation with Royce on the couch in all foods in a third person game. It would either look like shit or take you out of the seamless transition by doing that “zoom into your characters head automatically” thing. Cyberpunk is so focused on fully immersing you in night city and first person is the most effective way to do that.

I didn’t even know it didn’t have the option for third person until like a month before it came out. Ngl almost ruined it for me and definitely would have been way better with it

I don’t know where you’re getting that information but the free trial lasts as long as you want to stay on it. It just has its restrictions of course. I had a friend who played through 3 entire expansions on it with me.
