I think one of the biggest hurdles with this movie is the time. There are so many rules back then compared to now. my favorite scene is the same where he puts her into the carriage and flexes his hand. Back then you were not allowed to touch a person of another gender in a different class than you without gloves on. It is meant to be scandalous for that time that he put her into the carriage without her wearing gloves.

I think Agatha was trying to guilt trip and manipulate Billy by going on about how he killed them and telling Billy he’s just like her. I think Rio is probably tending to Alice. (Justice for Alice…)

To Agatha it's only been a short time due to her being out of her mind but it's been 3 years since Agatha has seen Billy magical aura which is how she knew it was Billy despite him being in another body. It's similar to the way Thor's mother Frigga was able to tell Thor was from the future. The reason witches do but use sigil it's because it work on the spellcaster but Lilia was pressed for time. Lilia ability are either similar to Loki's time slipping where she's able travel back or forward in time into her own body. Perhaps Lilia power is similar to Kitty Pryor who has the ability to consciousness projection in time. Billy or Wanda had the ability to read Agatha mind. Billy uses telepathic ability to jump into Williams body which some telepaths have the ability to do like professor X or Shadow King who was played by Aubrey plaza in the legion series.Possessing someone'shas no consequences other than dealing with the resident of that body. Possession only becomes an issue when it's a variant from another universe which will cause incursions and the destruction of one or both universes. Possessing a dead body will break the of nature golden rule of nature and can interrupt the fabric of existence.

10:30 I think you missed it here but “Eddie” says that Billy is his “🖤.” Meaning, Rio was not the black heart, it was a mislead. Billy was the black heart the whole time and the reason Lilia could not write his name is because of the sigil.

Regarding Rio being Death, Agatha specifically asks “who is in the room with us?”, and Rio laughs when the board says “Death”. So she is definitely Death

I think Rio’s definitely Death. That’s why she laughed at the ouija board spelling out her name, and that’s why she’s absent at the end of the episode. She’s collecting Alice’s body. I think that’s also why she hates ghosts. The mid-season trailer Marvel put out yesterday shows Jen and Lilia underground in a cave, very muddy, and shows us some muddy Agatha too. I think Billy was angry over Alice’s death (and the witches’ callousness) and just temporarily exiled them from the Road. I think Agatha figured out that he was Billy and couldn’t be her son when he was able to shout Nick Scratch’s name aloud. (Not sigil’d) Justice for Alice!!!

It's my opinion and prediction that riol really is Lady Death. I think that's why when evanora made the ouija board say death she laughed because she knew that whoever they were communicating with wasn't that, she is.

btw, Agatha did not ctrl alt delete her original coven during the salem witch trials. tho i understand why people think this, because that is the aesthetic the show writers went with for that scene. they were on the witches' road when she ended them all in self-defense. it was a kill or be killed situation. they brought it on themselves imho. you are supposed to face your fears on the witches' road, not let your fears convince you murdering your own is a valid life decision LOL.

Billy didn't sing the song to bring the road so i don't think the road considers him part of the coven. which is why he hasn't needed to do any of the trials all the others have had to do. and he clearly threw them into the next trial, which is of course the earth witch Rio's trial.

Episode was so good. I’m having so much fun. Rio is death and she laughed when they said death was here with them, yeah literally…. She is never worried whenever they are in danger because she can’t died and she stay behind to take Alice’s body.

In real life, the Ouija board is for ages 8 and older which I still think is insane. The three and older bit was to make a joke about the fact that Billy Maximoff is technically just shy of 3 years old, so they literally broke every rule.

Kathryn Hahn is such a gem. The range she brings to Agatha is so fun to watch. You hate Agatha but she's also hilarious and unserious that you want to know more about her cause she steals every scene she's in. When she said "Are you sure🤨 [sinister pause] you're just like your mother😈" I nearly lost it. Literal chills.

This episode broke my heart. I loved Alice so much. In the beginning I was kind of meh to her but she really was a great protection witch. She died trying to protect Agatha and everything. It was a very good ending but still sucks that Alice died. There's a little part of me that hopes it's all a dream or something but I fear that I'm wrong. Sharon dying was sad but she wasn't a witch, I didn't see her lasting. I really thought all the witches were going to make it to the end. I'm very naïve.

Super cool of you to put a spotlight on graphic novels. I think part of the reason they aren’t’ more critically appraised or have a larger share of the mainstream attention is due to their proximity to the more popular and admittedly less artistically recognized comic books. It’s unfortunate for both mediums because each has produced some brilliant mainstream and alternative works. Comics (just sticking to super heroes for now, though genres also exist) have stuff like ‘Superman for all seasons’ by Loeb/Sale, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Miller/Mazzuchelli, and ‘Kingdom Come’ by Waid/Ross among many others. I am a big fan of both and appreciate when both get videos made about them. I’ll end off by recommending some graphic novels I love. Black Hole by Charles Burns has a distinct but also psychedelic art style which beautifully illustrates this dark kinda sci-fi story. Blankets by Craig Thompson is a long and deeply personal memoir about a midwestern boy growing in a conservative Christian household. Maus by Art Spiegelman is a harrowing and 3 dimensional look at the history of a holocaust survivor and his relationship with his son (IMO this is my favorite and the best GN I’ve ever read). Love to see more recommendations thank you!

The MCU has a tendency to mix and match their characters comic book selves with other characters from the same storylines lol. Kind of feel like they may have done that with Rio maybe making her a bit of lady death and a bit of dark heart or another character

When we get back stories we always get them in the penultimate episode without exception. We will definitely get his backstory in episode 8

I think that Agatha was killing witches to impress death, so kind of the same motivation, but with a different character.

I think Agatha knew Teen wasn't her son, but she still let herself hope. When Rio told her the truth, she was upset, but still had a smile, because it does mean Rio cares enough to not let Agatha find a way to "feel better" in place of genuine healing. Rio chose to "spoil the moment" because she wants ALL of Agatha, and Agatha can't feel real love until she learns to forgive and love herself after whatever led to her son's loss.

I think Lilia crying when she saw the murals was because she was old enough to be there when it happened. It also makes so much sense why she takes such offence to misconceptions, cause it led to many of her friends to be killed.
