Correct, but lots of people dont realize that, and it seems like they all bought chain from us this week. Had several people measure their chain and order a 20" chain and it wont fit their saw.
You don't measure the chain. Measure from the tip of the bar to the power head. The length of chain that will actually be in a cut.
they mean 20" bar ya ding dong. Bars have height, they are not 1 dimension.

How did you like the 460? I am thinking about building one. I have built the 360, 361, 440 and 660. All have been successful builds.

@@FU420B yea, it is sitting by my back door with my 360 and 241. It runs fine. It took me a while to get it up to my standards but it is there, now. I still keep my 440 operational in the shop but I like the 460. The key to the 460 was putting a Stihl carb on it. HD-16d, as I remember. It would run with the Farmertec carb but was a bitch to crank.now, it behaves like a Stihl saw - pull until roll over, push up to half choke and pull until it runs. I also have a Stihl 460 deco valve in it.
