Obviously I don't know your pilot level, but the P3 has been modernised alongside this G3, ones the A and one's the B. The G3 is very well behaved but if you do have the need for an A.... and at Oludeniz the whistle is such a must, those jaywalkers!!! Cheers 😄

Thank you, it was an Independence Hike, its a reversible harness with alpine style leg pads, not a board seat. I find it very comfortable, strong, easy to carry and the airbag protection is very effective for the weight. I don't work for them!! www.independence.aero/en/harnesses/hike/

@@DansEscapades the Skyman single skins(SS) are more robust than ultralight and then Independence do the heavier version. The Sir Edmund Race was the best glider. Not sure what they have developing now due to covid.

Thanks. Very true, great fun, I too like to make domes out of all sorts of materials. This kit is a more ready solution and a good introduction for starters, classes, experimentation, design and so on.

@@glidewatch You can buy a lot of pipe cleaners and drinking straws for £30. At best the kit allows you to make a 2v dome which isnt very impressive compared to a 3v or 4v. I recently built a 12ft diameter 3v 5/9 for £70

Yes, you unscrew the wing nut and washer and snap them off very easily. Just done it for this actual model and will use the bits again for a PVC Dome. Thanks.

No never tried yet but saw them on YT. They are a good idea for a 1v, a more commercial professional version of what many people have used before using home made bits. @@glidewatch I priced it out, I don’t think there is a cheaper version that can be built easier or quicker? 🤔 That being said not everyone is sold on the 1v shape. I appreciate that it uses only one strut length however 🔥. Thanks for making this video .

I have tried all sorts of plastics and tarps. The choice is to just throw it over or spend a long time cutting it to each individual shape, it's a job. That's why commercial sellers charge so much, the material can be cheap but the work takes time! Thanks for asking!😃

Very hard question because they are all different and you can use them for lots of different types of flying. The big hold back on single skins is that they are slow, far slower than normal PGs. Some models like Ozone XXL2 have made them faster by getting the nose better and down, some models like Ozone Tensing / Sir Edmund Racer and Niviuk Skin have tried just a very few full double skin cells. This does work and makes them better. One like the Apco Hybrid has tried a bit double and a bit single skin!! This does help but they are still slower. They are easy to launch in very low winds, much more difficult in higher winds. They are all stable in normal flight. They generate little energy through turns or wing overs. So they are good in light wind, small pack, hike and fly conditions, very good for this. Not for high wind dune flying! If you pushed me I would say that they Sir Edmund Race is the best in flight, for glide, because of the higher aspect ratio. I hope this helps. Happy flying. Cheers Bill

The single skins that are not just flat with cells, like Tensing/ Sir Edmund are faster than Batlite and Dudek Hike but they are heavier! Hi Dan, I had a think about taking a mini wing to Tenerife and I suppose you could do some glides but the lift is far broader for PGs and most sites need a bit of a glide to get to the landing areas. Not a complete No No but would need some exploration and sorting - over to you Mate!

Depends on their weight! So cannot guarantee, ask the firm. But the hubs lock very tight and stay in place. Also depends on the sticks, what they are made of for example. Climbing frames are difficult to prove. Sorry cannot give a guarantee. PS I do not work further firm who makes these. Thanks.

From their website: Can they be used as climbing frames? No. hubs make it easy to make nice rigid garden domes; and they are strong under even loads, such as wind or snow, but a climber will put too much stress on an individual joint and the ball connector will pop out the socket.

Difficult question. Domes can be good in wind BUT they need good anchoring at the base. This is not just to keep them down but also to stop the wind going underneath and lifting them like a parachute. So yes, these can stand up to a UK storm but must be tightly anchored. Some people just take the covering off for garden domes in the winter and the wind blows through! :-) Hope this helps.

I wouldnt rely on the hubs staying together in a storm or with any kind of snowloading.

Hi Simon, IMHO The best by far for glide is the Skyman Sir Edmund Race, with a close second for the Ozone XXL2. The merit of the Dudek Run and Fly is the concentration on weight reduction but this effects performance. As with all the "Skinnies" all up weight and conditions can make a lot of difference but my top two remain.
