i skated with jon one night downtown chicago back in the 90's, cool dude we skated around and hit some spots, he had a friend with him that was cool too, i remember because back then skating was pretty dead, i'd be down there alone a lot of times. i knew all the best hidden spots. ✌💕

His skating evolved so much from when he was younger. Excellent style, spots and trick selection.

In many other contest videos of this era, Blender's qualifying runs often ended with a bail about one wall shy of his full time. So he wouldn't make the finals, and then you didn't get to see him really unleash. So it's cool to see these runs where he was really in the flow - especially on that beast of a ramp.
