Sobre la mesa (2007-2023) is a puppet event in
Puerto Rico, that I originated and produce where each puppeteer
receives the same object and creates a short tabletop,
small format piece using the object as a source of inspiration.
The pieces are each performed simultaneously inside a
labyrinth of curtains before a small audience. At the
end of the piece each audience group moves at the
same time to the next puppeteer’s kiosk inside
the labyrinth as the puppeteers reset their works
to receive the new audience and begin again.
To date we have created 15 editions of
Sobre la mesa.
