@GemTappX XLR and TRS support balanced signals. TS does not. If your output device supports balanced signal (signal + a copy of the signal but inverted with phase 180, needs cables that are able to pass 2 signals instead of one) and your other device why not use balanced cables to take advantage of that and use that? but you know what they say, if it works, don't fix it 😆 Recommended is balanced though. 😊 (Edit: make sure though that if you connect a mic to an audio interface's input use an XLR cable and if you connect a device's signal to an audio interfaces input use TRS (check that devices output first though) because mic signal is not the same as line (device) signal. They differ on their gain level, and audio interfaces even though they have multiple input plugs (support both XLR and TRS at the same time) they detect the device you connect depending on the cable plug) I did that too when i firstly connected my setup and it was because i was using wrong cable on my mic pre-amplifier (device, that outputs line level signal and not microphone level signal) so i used TRS and fixed it. 😊

what software are you using to record with the mic?

@ I was testing it in every app I own I think the microphone is just bad so hopefully I can get it replaced by shure

@ do i have to use a software to use the microphone? I thought that once i plug the microphone into the Scarlett, it supposed to give me the signal that it’s working, and the software will be important only for a session recording? Am i right?

Fully updating my software (adobe audition) got my mic to work. I’m away from my computer right now, but when I get home I’ll boot up fl studio and see if I can get it to work. I’ll get back to you soon.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think you need some software to hear something. I could be wrong.

I’m sorry to hear that. What software are you using to record your audio from your microphone?

@@GemTappX I used the Ableton live, and the audacity but the mic wasn’t connecting to the focusrite. I’m gonna take it to a guitar center later hopefully to try and test the mic. I think mine was faulty because I bought it used. But I’ll know when it’s tested out somewhere else.

@@1stMikeWhite Sorry I wish I can help you solve your problem but I just want to say that when I face technical issues like this it usually takes a bit of investigating to figure out what the problem might be. So take your time with it. Another thing to keep in mind is that you can also reach out to shure themselves for assistance.

@@1stMikeWhite one other thing I’d like to mention is that I ran into another issue with my mike not working after I posted this video. I was trying to record something using an out dated version of Adobe Audition and my microphone wasn’t working again. But when I updated Audition it started working again. So maybe check if your softwares are fully updated. I know that’s not easy with Ableton live but i thought I’d mention it anyways. Best of luck!

@@dia6oliclord I just looked at the back of my KRK’s and it didn’t look like there was a USB port. Maybe do a little bit of research to see if it’s possible but I don’t think it is.

@@GemTappX the only way is using a aux to connect the speakers direct to the computer but I know that is not the best option if I want a high quality sound.

Shure Sm7db 2i2 scarlett 3rd gen not picking up voice or any noise Hi, I just got the Shure SM7DB and it seems that even with phantom power on I won't get my voice picked up but I do hear feedback from the mic. I tried all the different switches and nothing seems to work. My previous mic still works however, so the XLR cable isn't damaged.

If nothing seems to be working I suggest calling or emailing shure the company and maybe some customer service tech worker can help you. I bought my mic from sweet water and I called them and they were able to help me out. It’s worth a try!

Hey brainfreeze, they don’t grow the more they walk. Unless of course it’s a bug I over looked. But the intended behavior I programmed is that the enemies spawn at a random height, and their voice pitch changes based on the height. So if the enemy spawns and is pretty large and tall he’ll have a deep voice and vice versa.
