Willys CJ2a Jeep with a Kubota V2203 direct injection diesel engine removed and modified from a Carrier refrigeration unit. First Start up [Second Really!]
Clean job my friend
Beautiful job.
Why is the key over there....?
Wicked cool.
Great engines. We had some on our grounds equipment at one of the golf courses I worked at.
How much to complete your project?
Hello how do you connect the turbo oil drain?
Nice, I have 2 old jeeps, & 2 v2203 engines. I see at least one engine swap in my near future!
How much the swap cost to you
Come on now that is not a first start up
Did you have to modify the firewall?
which rpm in 90 miles/h
That thing is clean!
This is beyond sweet.
Que cilindrada tiene el motor, y de que marca es? Y cómo lo ajustaron con la caja de cambios ?
Great.
A Japanese engine in a WWII Jeep? Talk about sacrilege. Blasphemous.
Beautyful....! Nice kabuta engine sound.
Did you need to modify the transmission tunnel?
Hey! No modification to the Transmission bellhousing itself but an aluminum adapter plate was used between the bellhousing and the Kubota engine block. The adapter is approximately 1/2" thick. you can make the plate yourself if you have the skill, as some people do, or the plate can be purchased from Overland Diesel.
@@MrGaryradford Great job on the mod!
Aqui no Brasil faltou willys a diesel. Só tem a gasolina a gasolina é muito cara Aqui no Brasil.
That is awsome
That's very clean! Nothing beats a diesel Jeep!
Incredible build. If I had to settle on one ultimate dream Jeep this would be the one.
Clean install. Nice job!
Beautiful Jeep, nice motor
What trans you running in that? And where did you find an adaptor?
What's your mpg?
I’m getting 33-35 miles per gallon. My original L head motor never got more than 18mpg...
Good sir I like Willy jeep
Thanks!
Very neat and classy conversion.
Thank you!
What kind of trans and transfer case are ya using? Adapters plates ect? You have piqued my curiosity.
I’m using the stock transmission and transfer case with a Warn overdrive setup. I had an adapter plate made up by Overland Diesel
@@MrGaryradford Thanks I get in touch with Overland Diesel
@@MrGaryradford What's the nomenclature on the Kubota?
👌❤️
I have a hard time believing that that is the "first" start up of that engine swap....lol....
Right…no air in the lines. That was not the first startup.
awesome - what does it do road? i see these engines ranging from 2k-6k - how much work on yours was needed..? adaptor plate? made to spec or available otc?
Overlanddiesel.dom
Beatiful
Looks great, what oil pan did you end up using?
👍 that will run for ever.
Wonderfull!!👍👍
Love it! Nice!
Sounds like a bunch of Rock's in a washing machine, I hate noisy diesel's, but nice install
Well, the noisy the better. If u know what I mean.
@@Amarillobymorning777 not really, quitter the better
That looks amazing. Great job!
typ motor
Oh the irony
I see what ya did there 😉 Beat em, take the technology and make our stuff better. America!
This was what I was talking about in another posting, people buying Roxor and using its parts to rebuild original Willy jeeps. Thx for proving my point,
But that’s not what he did.
Josh Jorgensen so what your saying it’s a totally custom jeep based on a willy jeep. Lol
Pretty sure there's no Roxr parts here
Roxor fad that didn't last long. Alot if the dealerships are closed. You can buy a used TJ, YJ or CJ almost the same dimensions street legal and 10k cheaper. The only thing is the diesel big deal do a conversion if its that important.
keep the jeep wave alive
Great jeep and superb installation, however I love simplicity and will stick with the old flathead.vERY SANITARY BUILD.
' nice pretty peach jeep... dont have a pair of seatbelts on the front chairs
I REMEMBER OUR JEEP IN THE PHILIPPINES.....MY BROTHER STILL HAVE IT.....THANKS GARY
Nice job, but I would of left it stock couldn't put up with that rattley thing
Willissseeeesssss, drag those fingernails across the black-board one more times boy. It needs to be driven because if it ain’t driven it ain’t it. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh. Get it?
Do You Have A Parts List for The Swap?
Very tasteful installation! What is the horse power?
The brochure states 39.9HP at 2800RPM (w/o the turbo). But, I'm seeing 50-55hp listed on eBay auctions (w/o turbo).
