if your laptop has thunderbolt 3.0 or 4.0 its better than this, cause they are 40Gbps while Gen 3 M.2s are 32Gbps cause they are X4 PCI-e but most old laptops doesnt have thunderbolt! or its version is older (Like 2.0 or 1.0) btw old laptops most times doesnt have M.2 slot either! so no way to do this too! but if u have newer laptop support M.2 Gen4 but no thunderbolt (or even if do) gen 4s support 64Gbps (much more than 40Gbps at TB 3.0 or 4.0 so u can use higher end iGPUs with less performance loss because of bandwidth (remember High end GPUs these days use most of their X16 Gen 4 bandwidth of theirs

Not true. There're videos on RUclips showing it working with 4090s with a 10-15% performance loss compared to a desktop motherboard with 16 lanes. So a 100 fps game will run around 85-90 fps with an Oculink egu setup.

Even in TB4 port you will face a high bottleneck. Oculink connects directly to your pci-e port, that is x16, TB4 even the newest TB5 has only PCIe x4 and x8, so the speed is half of what the oculink give's you, even in the M.2 port
