Fall transition is in full effect! Things changed a lot in the last couple of weeks. I was luckily still able to fish for big snook, redfish, speckled trout and even tarpon! A fun day to say the least.

You DONT NEED a $20,000 Boat (Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout & Black Drum)

Got back to the basics and did some land based fishing! I was able to land a snook, (on a topwater) redfish, speckled trout and black drum. Not a bad session for not being on a boat! Hopefully I'll be back on the boat this coming week to go chase a couple of giant fish. I primary used the Badonkadonk and ZMAN Kicker Crabz. Fishing CRYSTAL CLEAR water for anything that bites
Whats that ruler called an where’d you get it ?
Man I wish I could tell you. I picked it up from a tackle store up in Daytona beach 4 - 5 years ago. The store closed down so I can’t even look it up. Next time I go out I’ll see if I can find a name on the ruler.
what equipment are you using
I typically use the fenwick HMG 7 ft medium or medium heavy. I pair that with a 2500 Penn spinfisher 6. I run 15 lb braid and a 25 - 30 lb fluoro leader.
@theblueshirtfishingguy thank you sir
No worries. Good luck out there! Tight lines 🤙
Can you say. Da Bears, in your next video?
I will try my best to remember 👍
Makes sense thank you for the video
Thanks for the kind words 🙏
What happened on the last one. Bent hook again?
Man I don’t know 🤷♂️ hook was fine. I guess I just didn’t get a good hook set. When those snook are swimming right at you it tends to happen. Super unfortunate though…
Bait, Congratulations. I Loved the Video!👍🎣😊
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
What rods were you using?
I mostly use fennwick HMG (M & MH) rods but I also have a black fin 7 ft heavy that I use for the bigger NLBNs
Great catches. What part of Florida was this?
Thank you 🙏 this was on the space coast 🤙
Nice video, It would be great if share the lures you’re using throughout the video.
Appreciate it! I normally include the lures I use in the description of the video. I primary used the NLBN lil mullet, ZMAN Kicker Crabz and the badonka donk 🤙
Best cast ever 0:11
🙏
What area of Florida are you fishing? Thanks great vid
@@jeffspencer4317 I really appreciate the kind words! This was on the space coast 🤙
Mantap kawan., saya suka banget dengan spot nya., mantap👍
Thank you 🙏
Gulp shrimp? And dope video as well and keep it up
Yessir! A tried and true bait. Really appreciate the kind words 🙏🙏
Fr we try so hard
No. I prefer live baits. Maybe I need to give soft plastics a go. Any recommendations?
@@christophervinson9512 live bait strikes are pretty epic so I don’t blame you! What type of fish do you normally target?
That's Sebastian Inlet, I'm here rn
@@truongvu7185 sure is! Good luck. Hope you catch a giant!
Nice one. i feel like people put way to much hate on such a gorgeous fish.
@@FishingAdventure-bn5ff thank you! I couldn’t agree with you more
The worst part of fishing is having to constantly set up a hook and line. Then again, I got 4 kids. When we go fishing, theyre having fun, I'm setting up hooks.
@@Thecatholicchannel haha 😂 I guess at least you get a lot of practice! I’m sure spending time with the kids is special though 👍
@@theblueshirtfishingguy nothing better!
I don't understand what happened?
@@RepublicanRambo13 it’s just dealing with lady fish when they get hooked deep. They bleed like CRAZY. Makes a huge mess?
That and using a castnet in winter. Those weights slapping frozen wet hands sucks 😂
@@aquietsojourner4683 you got that right!
The worst part is snagging snd thinking you gotta bite and really setting thst hook in whatever you snagged and loeing your leader/lure 😢
@@aquietsojourner4683 definitely!
Breaking your line is the worst part
Yeah that’s pretty bad!
No, but I have peed on it, wiggled it, and prayed over it. What is yo yoing anyways.
😂😂😂 that’s about every trick in the book! Yo yoing is basically just bottom bouncing the lure. Used it a lot on bass fishing. Normally when I snook fish it’s fast and on top of the water so this catch was interesting.
What rod and reel did you use for the surprise snook?
It’s the Fenwick HMG 7ft medium with a Piscifun carbon x 2500 reel 👍
Slippery snook!
You sure got that right! That or I’m mister butter fingers 😂 probably a combination of both haha
Nice fish. I love seeing them breach like that, When you're fishing and they breach the surface of the water with a nice jump... It just does something to you. Makes ya let out an involuntary Tim Allen grunt.😅😂😅
Haha 😂 you got that right!!
To be honest, any fish gets me excited
Fair enough!
Tarpon and snook...the real fun
Not even getting laid,? Weird
Crystal clear? have u been to ny?
Yeah that water is clear. Hard to see because it’s a sand bottom. Nah haven’t been up there
It’s one of my main weaknesses !!! Not finishing the retrieve! Thx for the reminder !
Mine too… it’s a bad habit from my bass fishing days. Appreciate the comment 🙏 tight lines 🤙
Ezinna nke eluigwe debe ndi iro anyi otee aka iseeeee
Whats your setup? just curious
I’m a big Fenwick fan. For all my sight fishing I use the 7 ft medium HMG paired with a 2500 sized reel ( I use a piscifun carbon x & Penn spinfisher) with 15 lb braid.
Lol
That snook was the ultimate tease. At least he wasn’t a 40 + incher… then I would’ve been crying haha
What was it?
It looked like a little bull shark. A lot of them around the areas I fish.
I caught a 9pund carp on a rod meant for like 3 pound fish it took around 19 meters of line
That’s the equivalent to a freshwater redfish. Must’ve been a hell of a fight on that light tackle!
Yep
Nice catch keep it up
Thank you 🙏 much appreciated!
24oz panko bread crumbs plain. 8oz old fashioned oats 3oz jello packet 1 can cream style corn
Sounds like a winning combo right there 👍. I normally steer way from the oats because it binds everything too much. That’s just my personal preference. What flavor jello do you normally use? I’m partial to cherry and strawberry
Snook
Definitely depends on a snooks mood. If they want to eat I 100% agree with you. In my experience that’s not that case most of the time. It could just be that I suck at fishing 😂😂
i need the black reel what is that called
The all black one is a piscifun carbon x 2000. It’s a pretty cheap reel. Not quite as nice as the Penn spinfisher but it gets the job done on a budget 👍
Black brum
Sure is!
Why isnt casting gear used out there?
That’s a great question. I don’t really know the answer myself. Personally I don’t like ending up with birds nests. Not sure if that’s what other people are thinking too 🤷♂️
@@theblueshirtfishingguy they're pretty easy to learn and once you're effective it becomes second nature. It also gives you more power when trying to wrench em out of cover
That’s fair. I’m a ex bass fisherman so I used to have pretty much just bait casters. Like I said it was just a natural transition that I can’t explain lol
@@theblueshirtfishingguy same here. I fished tourneys for 10 years and spent 8 years exclusively fishing big baits and commercial fishing in socal. Now Im after trout in the PNW. Florida is on my bucket list.
Pound for pound, the best fighting fish in South Florida
You got that right!!
Blub blub what's good
👍🤙
A rock bass
That’s a good one!
Groupers
For sure! They have that big mouth that can eat just about anything
Learned to work the Lure so hard it didn't wanna get eaten
Haha I literally became the bait fish 🤣
Nope.
What species do you think?
