Yes lol knowing you, it'd be a sincere gesture.
That it would be I have a friend that I’ve known for going on 10 yrs and we’ve only hugged once and that was because she snapped at me (I snapped back at them) when we were driving across the boarder and they wanted to say awake for me even though they were over tired after telling them countless times to go to sleep with them saying I’m. It tired I had enough threw their pillow at them and told them to go to sleep which they said they weren’t even tired 2 minutes later I didn’t hear anything from them so looked over and they were passed out which I said not tired my ass The next day when we reached our destination they felt really bad for snapping at me so they gave me a hug which I just gave 2 pats on their back before breaking the hug and we’ve never hugged again since But yes if I did pat you on the shoulder while you were crying it would be very sincere
