Great work gang . You cooked
Best song to test the mids and highs on your sound system
Amazing and so true about the power of music and using this to connect to each other through music, instead of instagram.
Thanks for checking it out!
This is great
🙏
Fantastic brother. Your descriptions are intoxicating. Have enjoyed this band since the album was new. Reminds me of a very free time in my life. Thank you.
Thanks for checking it out!
I rode down the streets of New Orleans in my busted Hyundai blasting this song in my high powered stereo system that costed more than the car itself 😂🤣. Oh the memories.
One of the best rap albums ever. Love Beastie boys
I enjoyed this and if you were to make this a series I feel like you could analyze more DG songs that describe dark realities hell Exmilitary TMS and NLDW mostly cover dark things I’d recommend songs like culture shock, blackjack, the cage, hacker, Lil boy, No Love, most importantly World of Dogs would do great too and even Artificial death in the west
Hey, thanks for the comment! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. I’ve thought about making this a full series, especially for artists like Death Grips who have so much depth lyrically. But honestly, I’m a bit torn. With the small audience I’ve built so far, I sometimes worry I’m already too niche, you know? Like, as much as I love dissecting music like this, I wonder if I need to expand beyond the genre a bit to reach more people. That said, overanalyzing stuff is just how my brain works, so making these videos is something I really enjoy regardless. I’ll definitely keep your suggestions in mind, though-DG’s catalog is filled with so much to unpack, and tracks like “Culture Shock” and “World of Dogs” have been on my radar for a while. Who knows, maybe a series will happen down the road. Thanks again for such a thoughtful comment-it means a lot to me that you took the time to share your ideas, most of the time I feel like I am just sending these videos out to an empty void!
@@MicDropAnalysis aw man it’s all okay and don’t worry if you don’t got a lot of audience you continue being you never change for people only change because you want to so far your content seems amazing in fact gonna subscribe to you rn keep up the great work!

Samples behind Flavor Flav parts???
Paul Revere is a timeless classic that all hip hop fans will experience and enjoy forever. True pioneers.
Enjoyable
Thanks for checking it out
Here’s a story, RUN DMC wrote their rhymes at DefJam. B1 #FBA
His death was allegedly a suicide which if it is, makes every single line of this album hit even more different. Rest in power KA
Wow, I hate to think that’s how he went out. For sure that album hits different if true…
Good video, I really enjoyed your analysis!
Appreciate you!
Great vid
Thanks!
Thanks for diving into Burn the Witch with me. This track is a surreal masterpiece. If you noticed something I didn’t mention, drop your thoughts below-I’d love to hear them
If this song “shook” hip hop, it’s not because of the lyrics or the lyrical content. It’s all due to the backwards beat. That was the thing that was ground breaking.
Great analysis. Great music. Great video. Great man.
Glad you enjoyed it
Sigh I can't stand historical revisionism. The Beasties and Rick Rubin DID NOT write and produce this song or the rest of Licensed to Ill by themselves or in a vacuum as if they created the style on their own.
Are there any modern groups that trade off lines like they did?
Bobbing my head to the drums the entire time
Not 1 metion of PAC..
Nwa easy e remixed this and gave us boyz in the hood

Needs more cowbell
And they had to run the actual physical tape all around the studio to make it loop. It’s almost hard to believe.

Thanks for this!
im on my old account but 1:26 was the remix that I did of dustcutter (pretty bad remix looking back on it but i was new to producing)
Well I hope you're not too pissed that I nipped that. I was looking for something to spice up the audio a bit and stumbled across your remix. BTW I thought you did a nice job, especially that part obviously 😊
@@MicDropAnalysis i only get mad when people take my track (especially my new ones) and make there own songs with them. in fact I find it super cool to see my music in youtube videos like this, it means that my name is getting across to more people. btw the video is great
