It can be the cone spacers, the shim between the driver and driver side hub bearings or the spacer in the driver between the driver bearings. guarantee this issue is from over tightening the nuts or bolts on the axle. One or all pieces mentioned above are being crushed causing things to be rubbing and touching that shouldn’t be. It’s also far more common on female axle hubs. You said that you don’t torque your wheels. I bet if you did, you would never have this problem again. If you really want to crank down that rear wheel, swap out for a solid axle with jam nuts.

I only have one issue with his absence... He never let his thousands of fans know what his intentions were. If he's simply taking a break away from riding, that's fine. If he was injured and lost the motivation to post because he can't ride like he used to, that's fine. If he wants to spend more time with his family, that's fine. If he wants to throw in the towel, that's fine, too! But neglecting to tell your fans any of that, and going silent instead - there is nothing positive to say regarding that type of behavior. *EDIT: So many good riders who step away from the spotlight almost never give their fans a reason as to why, and it's just a damn shame. Personally, I believe the rumors are true concerning Stevie - I believe he became an addict of alcohol and lost all his motivation to ride.

I got same issue on cone washer (driverside). Aside from that, sometimes, the driver skips. You can feel it and hear a loud sound. My chains aren't tight though but not loose as well. Just enough chain slack.

I had this issue on my Mini Cassette so I bought a new driver and cones. After swapping out the parts, it had the same problem: The wheel would spin freely but the driver was bound up. Still able to ride it, but not what you want from a higher end hub like you said. I think it is because I overtighten the axle bolts, but if I dont the wheel slips. To be fair, the hub is from 2011 so something else could be worn and overall it's been great. Thanks for putting out this type of content.
