I am Igbo and I feel the closest tribes we have to us are the Akwa ibomites. It even played during the civil war, so this guy is going too far. In the 1970s I taught in a university in the North. One of the students, not my student, was from now Akwa Ibom. I wanted to marry her but her constant retort was that her dad, a Lecturer in the same university, would collapse! They have that inherent malice towards the Igbo in their family. More than 50 years after, I still occasionally think about her and pray they have made peace with the Igbo in their family.
