As the title say, it's a full video of doing down from Tagaytay ridge to the Talisay town which is just next to Taal lake. In this video, I went to Tagaytay via a route called Revpal which passes through the Marcos Mansion, and up the town of Casile. It is a challenging route because of the steep and long climbs which you can see in the gradient information as I go up. I love the quiet, polite nature of this 18T hub. I "upgraded" to the 54T, but the considerable increased noise of the 54T was surprisingly annoying, and I switched back to 18T the next day. The smaller engagement angle turned out to be kind of irrelevant, to be honest.

I do have the 240 when you pedal harder, they make loud noise but if you go slower, this sounds the same as this video

@@cyclingnerdI’m in the same boat, I’m curious how different your sound was when upgrading to the 54T. Was it much louder compared to this?
@@andrewhelm5437 actually it went quiet. But I think it depended more on the amount of grease inside. In any case, I sold my wheelset already so I can’t check anymore 😂. But I don’t remember it to be so loud. I had other wheelsets that are way louder.
54T is pretty much unnecessary on a road bike tbh

There are even quieter choices out there: Foss and Onyx Racing. In fact, these don't emit any noise.

18T isn't supposed to sound loud by nature and do not run them dry.
Loud hubs are for posers
The more engagement points the more noisy I noticed, tempted to go down to 18T for folding bike, looking at J bend hubs so 240 exp but so not need to buy more to hold spokes as looking at bladed

You don’t need to test for every chain link. One is enough. The idea is that they wear off uniformly.
I like the fact that you speak English all the way. I love watching cycling videos but most cyclist youtubers from the Philipines speak 90% of Tagalog... I just cant understand. huhu

Yep. I still have it. I alternate it with a white Met Trenta helmet now.
@@cyclingnerd okay sir. What's your final say on the Rivale? Quite interested with it. Is it worth it?
@@seiferkinsdale1097 I think it’s worth it. It’s not a top-tier helmet. For MET you’d have to go for Trenta or Manta but obviously it’s more expensive. Rivale, to me looks way better than the two, with a smaller footprint (less bulk). Very stylish, and the red color is awesome. Trenta is more airy, Manta is faster. But you usually get the full benefits of top-tier helmets when you travel faster. I hope that’s good enough info.
