Hey girl! So overall what’s a good down payment you would say is good to start off with, including all the upgrades . Also the homes I was looking at the monthly payments were crazy! How did you go about that? Or it was kept the same kinda?
Hey girl, the down payment would depend on the type of loan you do. I did fha so I had to put about 3.5% of the total cost of the home down and the upgrades were added into the total cost of the home so it’s included in my monthly mortgage. My lender offered a buy down deal to buy the rate down for the first couple years so my mortgage is gonna be a little bit lower my first two years. One of my clients also recently bought a home and she did her loan through her credit union and they paid for all of her closing costs so depending on what deals the lender is offering you can save money there and save it for your monthly payments.
