Joey Poiriez was a young, promising skater I liked during my hardcore skateboarding career. While all the other kids he was associated with grew up to be professional stars, Joey fell into a hole of drugs and injuries and he died of an overdose in 2014. It’s not quite my thing, but the highest compliment I can give it is a comparison: this reminds me of Bob Dylan, whose oeuvre I also don’t quite like. It’s not bad, it’s just not what I enjoy. You should definitely keep going with this music thing @Jonas Alaska - there is some talent there.

Apparently they were out in a small boat to retrieve some lobster traps when a storm appeared, The boat tipped over and they all fell into the sea. No one was wearing any means of floating devices. One of them survived and ot picked up by a rescue boat, and the two other were drifting out to sea. They found one more, but the last one, the relative of Alaska was never found.

Jeg oppdaget ham da jeg så Tett på Jonas Alaska på NrK tidligere denne uka. Jeg visste hvem han var, men jeg hadde ikke hørt noen av sangene hans før jeg hørte fragmenter av dem på det nevnte artistportrettet, og da jeg skulle velge meg en sang på youtube i formiddag, så kom jeg til å tenke på ham, og så fikk jeg opp denne sangen som førstevalg, og da klikket jeg på den.
