The Best Defenseman You Don't Know Yet
#hockey #minnesota #nhl #norris
Brock Faber has quietly become the #1 defenseman on a top-5 team in the league. How did we get here?
Massive shoutout to @virtualhockeyscout for putting together a lot of these Faber clips. They have a much more in depth breakdown on their Substack.

Mitch Marner Playmaking Mixtape

This is a quick playmaking mixtape for Mitch Marner Twitter @BigheadHcky Instagram @BigHeadHockey
The Blues were NHL, and maybe pro sports most successful losers until 2019.
It wasn’t until now that I realized how much of a wagon the sharks are in the 21st century and how well they draft and develop players
I think he’ll be fine. People forget that MacKinnon used to be underwhelming, then he figured it out and now he’s a top 3 player in the league. Same with Jack Hughes. People need to see how he progresses before making judgements.
Thank you
Macklyn Celebrini is better
No
He needs to learn how to play in the NHL. It's not about the fancy plays; it's about winning the game. He is too soft on the puck. That's been proven over and over. He looks like he is in over his head. He needs a head coach who doesn't treat him like he is special because so far, he hasn't been and has not lived up to the hype. He is going against the best players in the world. Am I a hater? Not at all. I've been a Hawks fan for several decades. Back in the Stan Mikita, Bobby Hull, Glen Hall days.
Comparing this kid as the next Conor McDavid or Sidney Crosby is laughable.
I will forever be a Philadelphia Flyers fan, it's in my blood at this point. One of the biggest problems; the city itself. As my friend told me once; "there's nothing there but depression and sandwiches." I mean look at the comments from my brothers. They're flooded in negativity. The city runs on it.
HE IS AN OVERRATED FLEA... TOO SMALL ZERO TOUGHNESS... JUST A BUNCH OF HYPE. MIXED WITH SOME SKILL. IN A BOYS BODY...
Title was cringe enough for me to report it for child abuse
nah hes not generational mcdavid on that blackhawks team at 19 would be ppg
Well now what? They are red hot & proly trading for JT Miller lol
Not true the Canadians are the cursed team. Once Patrick Roy left That was the end.
More Sharks and Celebrini videos! \o/
Hey,...at least the Flyers have one of the coolest mascots in all of pro sports, Gritty. OK, maybe 'coolest' may be pushing the proverbial envelope. Maybe 'goofiest and disturbing-looking' might be closer to the truth.😅 I'll see myself out now.😊
Hot take: Zegras grew up a Rangers fan. I reckon he’d pop off if he was traded to the team. The change of scenery and something to prove may be the maturing point to take him to the level we know he has the potential to get to 🤷🏽♂️
Hawks very bad. 10 sec video, no one with a brain thinks there is a problem with Bedard. You talk too much
lol @ toronto most annoying nhl fanbase.
Hartford Whalers unis are still the best of all time.
Generational talent without generational size. Just too tiny to ever be a goat
His shot is generational. I think we're going to be looking back in 15 years and saying Celebrini put together a far better career though.
@bigheadhockey now do Lane hutson
He should have been the ROY last year.
Did everything well, then mentioned Lebron 😜
Blackhawk fan here. Right now I think Bedard will max out in Patrick Kane territory. But with some additional weight and better teammates possibly he becomes better than that? His style reminds me, no I don’t say as good as, he reminds me of Wayne Gretzky. Aside from his exceptional shot and release his vision, anticipation and hockey IQ are what makes him a great player.
Mark my words, Faber WILL be the captain of our Minnesota Wild.
Bedard did NOT deserve the rookie of the award 💀
He's a defensive general. Hell, even at a half a point a game pace-wise for being a defenseman is still really solid while not sacrificing the back end. He's the type of player who, as a fan of an East team, makes me keep an eye on the Western conference. Great potential, and gives the Wild a soft spot in my heart. When they get cap space back, watch out for them.
My favorite thing about him is that he wears Hanson brother glasses in his official headshot
We'll be back on top soon now with mich
I LOVED when Rutherford traded Sutter for Bonino. Key trade to winning back to back SCs.
I mean bedard’s kinda jacked, so of course speed isn’t gonna be one of his strengths
Faber doesn't take the body often because taking the body often.......often takes both bodies out of position. Brock does not lose position defensively.
Looking forward to Wild in the playoffs!
I was just waiting to post my comment that Faber would be the next captain of the Wild...glad to hear I am not alone in knowing that will be the case.
Seriously one of the best trades of the era. Fiala's a really good skater and all, but we really lucked out that LA needed offensive depth and traded this generational (imo) talent to us.
Very good video, let’s see a kaprizov breakdown next!
You can kinda tell Brock grew up watching Ryan suter
“The best defensemen you don’t know yet” and it’s Brock faber lmao
Just to clarify I’m saying this because everybody knows how good faber is
The Fiala trade worked out well for both teams!
W faber
Faber was robbed of the Calder
I hate how much emphasis there is on production to determine if a player is good or not. Defensive guys are as important, if not more, than your top scorers/phenom O-Defensemen.
I wish the NHL would quit jerking off Bedard and give this kid the spotlight. Bedard is good, but Celebrini is so much more fun to watch. I think his ceiling is going to end up higher.
It’s even more impressive to watch live. He’s so good
CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE DO ONE IF THISE GM VIDEOS ON PIERRE DORION?
If I get a wild jersey I think it will be him. Don't need Another kirill jersey in the stadium
Faber in playoffs saving An open net with his stick was amazing
Bad take. Look at the players around him. Absolute stinker of a team. Your take should've been "how much time does Chicago have until Bedard leaves?"
