Stats right now:

On pace for 36g | 68pts in a full season
Hopefully in a couple years, he's hitting 68 points by the all-star break lol.

This is a quick playmaking mixtape for Mitch Marner Twitter @BigheadHcky Instagram @BigHeadHockey
He looks better than Bedard because he has more around him than Bedard.
He reminds me of Peter Forsberg. Pete is my favorite of all time. Watching this kid with puck possession is exactly like Peter. Used his back a lot, was REALLY heavy on the puck. Maclin will win my fandom if he keeps this up!
Celebrini will be goated. His dad has been teaching him his whole life about sports medicine/performance. Celebrini grew up around Golden state warrior athletes picking up pro habits. Celebrini is living and being mentored by NHL legend Joe Thornton. Celebrini plays on a line with 2 time Stanley cup champion Tyler Toffoli. Go sharks!!!
So should I take sharks over Utah tonight
He skates a little like a young Jon Toews.
The glazing is crazy hahaa mitchkov solos
Mich solos to the press box on the healthy scratch again
The Matthews clip with Army was hilarious
What makes this era of Canucks history so interesting is just the sheer mix of incredible amateur scouting in a constant battle with what is genuinely the worst management possible. The former happens to be the only reason that Jim Benning's moves never sank Vancouver into a hole akin to that of Buffalo, Detroit or Ottawa.
wow
The audio editing on that first goal is such a nice touch, really highlights how otherworldly that kind of goal was
Watched most of his games. He’s Kopitar/Bergeron defensively and Kane offensively. He could win a Hart and Selke in the same season which would be bizarre but it feels possible. Criticism: his passing can be off by several feet on occasion meaning not an elite playmaker. Really liked this video and deeper analysis.
As a Sharks fan I've seen players like Hertl, Thornton and Burns at their prime, but Celebrini's puck possession is already at another level. He doesn't need size or reach. It's all assertiveness, stick handling, picking the best lanes on the ice. His shot is great. I can't really say how accurate it is yet, but it's quick in both release and speed and he's one of the most elusive shooters I've seen. I wasn't that impressed with his first game when he got injured, nor his play at the U20's. But it was his first game, and he did get 2 points, and he played on one of the weakest canadian junior teams ever. But he needed only like 5 games to get going in the NHL, and since, he's been the best player on the team. I expected an above average 1st pick and most likely a player of the caliber of Logan Couture, but he is looking more like a mix of Crosby and Matthews. It's too early to tell if he will become as dominant offensively, but as a prospect I think he should be re-evaluated to that level.
fun to be a sharks fan again. great vid thanks
His dad workks with rhe golden syate warriors and draymond use to come watch him play in college too. Draymond knew the kid was gonna be special, he even said he goes to the games because he wanted to be able to say he was there and witnessed one of the greats play in college before he went pro
My comp for him is Magic Johnson on skates.
Huh? He was projected to be Makar like
Thanks for the video. Have not got to see much of this kid and have to say wow what a player. It’s a small sample but have to say this kids ceiling is that of a superstar. Maybe reminds me a bit of Matthew’s with his size and stick skills but he’s already better without the puck. Been around and played at a high level and wouldn’t throw this out to easily but he has the looks of a franchise type player.
Mini Mcdavid? cmon get real, he's been good but he hasn't been that good
"Would be happier *IF* he became a mini McDavid." No one is saying he is there yet. The video said it would be nice if he did, lol.
Great video
Love this video and the deep analysis of whats going on in Celebrini's head during the game! and the actual stats to support it. Definitely a fun player to watch. Subscribed!
If Bedard and Celebrini are within a year of each other and also both hale from Vancouver, did they ever play against one another pre NHL, and if so, what was the outcome?
Real life Xavier LaFlamme
Incredible break down. Keep up the great work, this channel will blow up in time.
He takes the puck away 5 time a night. He probably has closer to 50 or 60 take aways like you said.
Great video!
Most complete 18 year old I've ever seen.
that stretch of games where the Sharks stuck Smith and Celebrini with Barclay Goodrow was a crime against humanity.
That giveaway/takeaway does not pass the eye test
Pat Falloon....aka Fat Balloon because he always came to training camp out of shape
This channel is going to have a lot of subscribers soon.
I'm all in on celebrini, best player drafted since mcdavid, crosby level talent. Point per game, goal scorer, elite puck battles, face-offs and defensive play all at 18 and on a dumpster team. Absolutely insane 🎉.
He's awesome. The fact that Celebrini, Bedard, and McDavid are all in the west is just so exciting for hockey.
Calm down he's not close to that level yet, we have gone from complaining about people glazing Bedard to everyone actually glazing Celebrini
Corey Perry shoutout to the goat.
what a breakdown. as a ranger fan i’m excited for years to come
and when his sophomore slump hits, people will also being calling him bad just like people are with bedard.
Honestly you're probably right - Bedard is right back on the wagon with another 3 point night last night and it looks like the slump is over. Happens to everyone.
Celebrini over Bedard any day of the week.
Eh the kids alright 😂😂 fr though they looked great against the canes the other day. Solid hockey team. Solid 60 minute effort from the team.
Celebrini better than Bedard 😂. NHL fans are so reactionary. Bedard is shadowed by two three players every night, still by far Hawks best point scorer snd threat every night. Celebrini gets a lot more space
Celebrini is the better player. Bedard is a better goal scorer but thats it
@ 0 knowledge of puck brother. Bedard won mvps breaking records when Celebrini let his country down when it mattered the most.
@jyynarpalisenniemi6242 You call fans reactionary when you bring up junior hockey as his legacy. "Let his country down when it mattered the most". U18 and WJC doesn't actually matter. Personally, I'm not ready to call Bedard or Celebrini better than each other but I will say that Celebrini is more well rounded (which is not the same as value).
@jyynarpalisenniemi6242 Celebrini scored an OT winner for Canada to win a medal, what you on?
@@MrBlob-eb9lt U18s? I’m talking about WJC which is one of the biggest hockey events in Canada
Why is everyone always surprised the number 1 pick is good
*Sigh* as a fan from 1999 it’s been so painful seeing a club filled with such talent and amazing players just never being able to get that damned silver cup… honestly it’s not anger at other teams that achieve - honestly I just want to know how it feels for your hockey club to finally win it all. One day man… one day
Sharks sure picked the right year to tank.
I still think Bedard will probably end up putting up more points in the end, but the fact that every skill he has is translating to the NHL this early might end up making him more valuable in the playoffs. Great breakdown!
leads the league in controlled zone entries, puck battles won, end-to-end rushes, highest FO% for a rookie ever recorded, 6th in loose puck recoveries... absolutely insane for an 18 year old.
Cheers dude keep up the good work love your content. Love the cartooms and your use of ovr ratings haha.
We are going to see a future where it's going to be Macklin Celebrini and Connor Bedard on every comparison video. It's going to be the next Alexander Ovechkin and Sydney Crosby.
I doubt it,
@brando7266 why?
Add Michkov to that list - imma Sharks fan but you can’t deny the talent the Flyers have snagged
@@huckchilli7584 u really think Celebrini and Bedard can be the next ovechkin and Crosby? Maybe one of them ,but not both, the odds r against it,
Love it keep up the Sharks breakdowns. Future is TEAL!
Great breakdown. Often times he looks 2 steps ahead of both teams on the ice. When the Sharks gain more experience playing w each other they will be tuff to beat. Solid Vid. I watch most ur vids especially SJ content.
Right! His IQ is unbelievable. We got the chance to talk to a retired Hall of Famer about Celebrini and he mentioned in the limited time he's watched him play, the elite hockey sense and ability to go into the dirty areas is what's separating him from the pack. What a stud.
Plus he’s living w Big Joe. Learning from someone like that is invaluable!
Such a dog
Hey guys, we've had a lot of issues producing content in the past few months but hopefully we have it more or less figured out! (...hopefully). Let us know what you think of this style of video, since we came up with it we noticed a lot of people were posting about Celebrini's gameplay but we tried to change up the style a bit. Major shoutout to @VirtualHockeyScout on RUclips and substack. Their clips were so much of what provided for this video, check them out anywhere you can. Hope you guys enjoy and let us know who we should cover next!
Not a bad video, but Irbe is pronounced "UR-bay" not Urb. Damphousee sounds like "DAM-foos" not Damp house lol.
Great videos man. Im assuming you're a sharks fan!
