Such great gift ideas. I particularly love the look of the spring loaded scissors. When you showed the glass paper weight I had a duh! moment and went right to my living room and picked up a glass weight that I have had for years. It now sits on my desk. Great video. I love the scor tape. However, my last order had 3 rolls of 1/8 inch tape that were stacked together so tightly I could barely get them apart. They need to put something between them when selling multples.

Oh a year and half ago now I picked up a glass paper weight which is rectangle in shape at a thrift store in Bend OR. My lovely friend and neighbor took an end of January 6 day trip to pick up a 22 year old class B+ RV. (That's another story!) but we visited a few shops and a lovely thrift store. Sure enough we both found STUFF. Turns out though the rectangle block of glass with a unicorn inside looks like the sides are curved in a bit on each end...they are flat. I've always used these acrylic blocks and bases for what you are using your weights for. OH MY GOSH what a perfect use. And with the one I have it provides 6 heavy weight sides perfect for a wonderful full flat surface. I also bought a pack of 500 pre-packed tiny glue removal pads. These are tiny bits of flat folded pack think tiny tiny tiny no more than one inch square folded up baby wipe like material that has a glue solvent to remove glues of just about every kind. I bought for mainly keeping my scissors clean when cutting a lot of glue and foam tape but also those blocks of heavy duty cut up acrylic blocks. (I bought 2-3 years ago a ton of Spellbinders old packages of outdated cutting plates and base plates for older machines knowing that they could come in handy. Have they ever. Only wish I'd had more room to have purchased more. I can't believe how helpful that stash has been. Not just for the glue weight blocks but I picked up an old red press Sizzix machine that's cutting bases were ruined and sure enough one of my finds was identical in height and husband was polite enough to cut them down to fit. Another thing is magic mats for saving your acrylic blocks. You can buy a larger narrower one and suggest they can trim it down or just go with a 6" one that can be used in larger machines too. Another thing is PICKS for weeding nut just the ones and brush style you showed today. I've got those too but I almost always find I need a pick. You can buy packs of 2-4 that are just that small picks with handles in various colors. I keep a drawer with tools and plenty of weeding picks over by my main cutting machine. I keep another drawer full of common tools including the picks and smaller precision scissors handy that can be removed to carry anywhere in the house even out side to a covered patio I craft outdoors on in summer. This sits near my larger counter area for the big 8.5" cutting machine I own. Like you mention NO crafter has enough Scissors. Thanks for this video. I've enjoyed it and I had no idea about the large fold up magnet folder. I've run across the small magnet with stand and is on sale for just 12.99 today at Scrapbook also with a coupon of 15% off through Black Friday. I had my eye on it but felt it was a bit small. I lay out huge 9" x 12" I believe heavy duty magnetic sheets by Anna Griffin who sells the Empress too. The large sheets are difficult to come by. Always out of stock. I had 3 via some of her fancy die sets that came with it but finally was able to buy two more sets of them. I lay out my holiday most often used dies in advance. Then keep one clean to use for dies in use. The smaller ones work too but for me I have a lot of over sized dies and need a good 12" sometimes in length. Again they won't fit into a stocking most likely but definitely a great idea to share. A friend is always hitting me up for 5x7 inch envelopes and magnetic sheets to store her dies in. (I've gifted her so many I just can't any more continue. I've quit using them for the most part and switched to 3 ring binders with magnetic sheets to store dies in categories that make sense to me. (Word dies, Holidays or just hearts, not just Valentines and stars and well you know how it goes. Some dies no matter if related with a Holiday speaks to use year round. I have a huge collection of unique alphabet dies too. My newest is Lantern dies. (If I run across a great deal I buy two so I have a spare and also a set to share with friends. I just collected a total of 5 die sets of dentist and tooth fairy dies to gift my dentist office. So with those a few stamps with fun and wonderful sayings like Loose Tooth Loot. And only bought one each because I hope to encourage one of the 4 ladies to take up the hobby. I'm gifting a Diamond Press large machine too along with a pack of 10 refill folders that are expensive plus my own how to save money cutting elements that work with the DP press too. Your show and tell was a fantastic starting list. But this is a list that can go on and on and on and cover not just your friends already into it but your friends who are almost there. And lets not forget bundles of paper. Cutting down 12 packs into 6x6 sheets of for my dentist office I'm cutting them down to 4 x 6 sheets because they will fit through the DP which is 4.5 opening. Oh I have been a crafter for a long time, but you still brought out something I didn't know existed!! Also genius idea about the paper weight!! I'm now thinking about a few of my pretty painted rocks to use for that ☺️💕

I collected some really nice oval rocks, painted them with a nice short quote like: SMILE, ENJOY, BE CREATIVE. I use them for paper weights. Inexpensive and a keepsake.

Love the Gala paper pad. I couldn't resist that one either. Went to Hobby Lobby yesterday & coming out I missed the step from the sidewalk to the parking lot. Totally wiped out. Glasses flew off, 1 hearibg aid came out and was tangled in my hair. Purse & packages flew. Kristen it was embarrassing. I have major bruisrs today. Ugh! But the stuff I bought wss safe! 😂

For the last few weeks, I have been watching haul videos or shop with me videos. The comments left by the viewers leave a lot to be desired. First we need to start with some good manners the people that you are viewing have given up their time and have gone out to tape what is going on in the stores so that you and I who, for whatever reason may not be able to get out there know what’s going on. It’s not just going to the stores and taping things. It’s the editing the uploading the rendering and everything else it goes into making a proper video. This is also the time of year when our good friends at RUclips bring it upon themselves to hit you with copyright any place they can, so several people have decided to just put music in the background. I was shocked to find that so many tablets and laptop computers are lacking volume controls. Perhaps their owners don’t know where it is and they need to consult their owners manual. The other thing that I am finding particularly unpleasant, it’s a comment section. One woman was attacked for her voice. Another woman was attacked to the fast that she spent either too much time on one item or not enough and of course, today the volume of the music is distracting. I can only say this, along with everything else that I’ve already said if you don’t like what you’re watching or listening to it’s quite easy to get out of the program. But I do not feel that is fair to criticize someone who has put forth their own time and effort to bring something to you or me, and all we can do is criticize it and not compliment or say thank you for the work that was done. Now I know there are many of you who are not going to agree with me and that’s fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but maybe it bothers me more because we are coming into the season where we should be being more patient with people and remember small acts of kindness. And we need to remember our manners nothing can make a person stay better than when someone says thank you. I appreciate the work that you did for me. I don’t think I’m better than anyone else. I have good days and bad. And maybe it’s because I’m older that bothers me so much but simple common courtesy and good manners make for a fun board. So once again, I suggest to those of you who are not happy with the work on a specific tape or videographer you find another station or channel to listen to. I don’t mean to be mean, however the uptick in the unfortunate comments seems to be something that needs to be addressed, so I am doing just that. Kristen, I think your video is very good. I do not shop Michael so it was interesting to see what they had. Thank you for your work.

Tried to watch Joann and this but music was annoying

I watched your JoAnn video yesterday and went on line and shopped. It was the same prices on line and free shipping with $75. I bought the Timmy inks I didn’t have! I would have paid $400 but of course it was $200. Picking out my own Christmas presents. 😊❤🎁

I live in OKC & our store is disappointing, the Norman store is newer & has more. I go to Tulsa occasionally & their store is usually pretty stocked. Wish they were consistent for all areas.

My Joann’s moved from their old location to the old Bed Bath & Beyond. It’s a beautiful store, but the paper crafting aisles are a mess, never stocked well, and the sales don’t ring up for me sometimes. There are carts of product that needs to be put away. It’s a mess, I wish Joanns would hear us & get it together.

They have lot of empty spots. I wish they kept restocked better. Thx for the sneak peak!

Lucky you. I was at Jo Ann’s last week and the craft section was sparse. I think that we are about to lose ours, sadly.

My Joann’s is always picked over and never has much so I don’t bother!
