IGBERE TRADITIONAL WAY OF MARRIAGE In igbere culture and tradition, as it was, it is the parent that decides who their children gets married to, not the opposite that is prevalent today. I am boldly to mention here that marriage is very simple in igbere. Marriage is usually used to strengthen family-friend’s tie, business relationships, etc. It is important to say here that every igbere man or ...

Exceptionally proud of their native heritage, preserved many of their ancestors’ traditions, and a number of them present in their mixture of elaborate traditional tales, artistic expressions, music and varied culture elements. The cultural attire is made with Red and Black. RED stands for Royal...

I am Jamaican - American. I recently took a DNA test for fun. And I am 38% Esan. Yaay !!! They are beautiful people. Now I know why I'm so sexy. When you look up the definition of sexy online, my face comes up.
I'm actually ẹsan but know nothing about it 😢
Part of my DNA
O ya = Yoruba (Nothing like Ọ ya). The Igbo synonym is "Ngwa" (a single word)
ESANs are not benin descendants....we are unique
Thumb up 👍🏾 for you for standing history on its head.
Esans and binis are the same

This is a video showing a woman dressed in Edo Benin Kingdom Regalia. She has the beauty of the Edo Woman in her Edo headdress complete with Edo coral beads. These are Benin Coral beads have been with Edo for hundreds of years. Whereas, until AliExpressdotcom started selling Nigerians cheap versions of these beads made in china, no other tribe ever even thought of wearing them. The guy and model might be Esan but the outfit is not. Why not post your actual Esan outfit?
You don't know the history of Esan and Benin people do you? Yes Esan people have their own culture and traditions but they are literally related to Benin people.
You most out of you mind which culture is your own jealousy
@@aspectacle5589 they are not blood related ..

The ancestors of the Esan people are also from the Edo (Bini tribe) and they dress the same way as the Bini (Edo people). the Benin Empire (Edo people) covered a huge area of the south west, several states (including some few Yoruba states). Next time do a proper research before, commenting BS. The Esan, Bini (Edo people) including other tribes are all from Edo state, Nigeria 🇳🇬.
@@joye5761You are a pure mumu person, When did Bini kingdom start to exist? Bini kingdom started 1170 AD and before then it was Igodomigodo which was a multiethnic society that house different ethnic group, Igodomigodo was the kingdom that connects different ethnic groups together including igbo, and Yorubas(Itsekiri and Olukunmi) you Bini were not even recorded to have been part of Igodomigodo kingdom, you later began 1170 AD Oranmiyan arrived, and you took his son original Yoruba name Ado and corrupted it Edo and ile Ibinu to Bini, all the culture you think you have were Igodomigodo culture that you inherited, which is what makes you and Esan people share same tradition attire cause these are Igodomigodo attire not Bini and the part of Yoruba land Bini kingdom covered were never part of your land, you conquered them with the help of the Portuguese, that’s why the Yorubas also teamed up with the British, to bring down Bini kingdom and annexed you as part of Yoruba land. Know your history.
Sooo beautiful....Congratulations...🥂🥂🥂
The outfit and dresses are not Esan, They are that of Edo speaking people of Edo State. They are also called the Bini people of Edo State. It's disingenuous to say these traditional attires are Esan, when in fact they the traditional attire of the Edo speaking people of Edo State.
Esan people are Edo. Only someone who doesn't know the history of Esan and Bini people would say this
Esan and Benin not the same. We just live same canopy. Does not mean we are same. We don't have ancestry home. Esan has no meaning in Benin, also remembered Benin is not a tribe, has no dialect. Benin just nickname. Benin is not a language. Benin and Esan has more different. There are many tribe live inside Edo state. Why Esan is more different. Look at the history. Try to read real history of Esan. Not the one Benin manipulate . Esan very close the history of Nigeria and also Esan raised the motion to found Nigeria independent late Mr Anthony Enaholo
@@伟王-s2l lol you are not making any sense. Edo is the language spoken by the Bini people of Benin Kingdom. The Benin Kingdom or Benin Empire also refers to the same Edo speaking people. Edo language is spoken by the people of the Benin Kingdom. Edo language is both written and spoken language. Do not let the name Edo State fool ya. You think the name Edo only existed from the State name? When the State was Bendel State, Edo language and curriculum already existed. Before the State was called Midwest, the name Edo have long existed. ThevState was named after Edo. The Tribe is Edo. The language is Edo. In modern times Edo and Bini is interchangeable. Ovbiedo is someone who speaks Edo language. There are books written in Edo Language way back in the 40's 50's and 60's. Edo language have long existed before the name was adopted in 1990s as the official name of the State. Edo is not Esan. I don't know what your problems is about Manipulation accusation. If you like claim you are igbo or or Hausa. But Esan language is a knock-off of Edo language. You don't know the history of Esan people. Anthony Enahoro would tell you he is an Edo man because his ancestors came from Benin Empire. You can twist your history however you like ... and claim you are Fulani or Igbo. Nobody cares. Why do Esan understand Edo language, bear the same names, same morning greetings as Edo people? What are you? Yuroba? Please go read your history books.
@@2LETLIVE No Esan people don't have ancestry home in Benin. I am said is again. Benin is not a language. Benin is just a nickname. Can you send me a book called Benin language. You can only called Edo language. I have said is again. Esan and Benin don't have close to each others items of language. Look Esan and afemai language they are close to Esan language. Who told you Anthony Enaholo ancestry home is Benin. Benin, esan, urhobo, afemai, live same canopy called Edo state. Does not mean we have same ancestry home. Can you tell me what is the meaning of Esan is Edo language. Has no meaning. Also with Edo has no meaning in Esan language. This is not about quarry. We need to educated each other. Esan come in confluence area in river Nile. Esan kingdom and Benin kingdom is different. I which we have related, oba of Benin will like something in common in Esan. Go and do research why Benin always say. Anywhere you see Esan and see snake. Kill the Esan people before you kill a snake. Because they know Esan is a treat to them because of the past war to them. If we are one. Can your parents say any where you see your brother you should kill your brother before you kill the snake. Don't twist anything here. We are not fighter each other. But will need to teach new up coming generation about history. Esan is very big different in Benin. Go and research history about Ambrose Alli. How he was betray in Benin and die. Don't say what you didn't know.
@@伟王-s2l I'm sorry you don't sense. Now it is Ambrose Ali. You sound uneducated and bed-wet in emotional wreck.
