So my red light stays on when I flip the switch on the back of the power supply but when I click the power button on the PC case, the red light goes away. Does that mean my GPU is good to go because I’m playing games and the red light is gone but as soon as I turn it off the red light turns on

When using PCI Express power cables with the Nvidia supplied 12 volt high power adapter plug, the red light will turn on when the computer is in standby mode. This is perfectly normal. If you purchase a 12 pin PCIe adapter from a third party supplier like CableMod, they have wired it so that light goes out when the computer is off.

First boot I had the same issue. 1 Used the Asus adapter, re-seated all, changed swapped cables around. and boom it worked. Just make sure all cables are connected properly.

I think it’s normal that after turning off you it shows the red led because the power supply is no longer smooth as it is on in a nutshell the gpu is simply telling you that it is not receiving enough power (obviously because the pc is off)

Have a gigabyte 4070 has the power led above the plug! Is the led light meant to hold white all the time or only show red if there is an issue! Because I have no light lol. The led is their but does nothing, but the system runs sweet
