High School was horrible for me. I want you to know that it will be over. Take peace in knowing that it'll be over before you know it. Plan for what's ahead. Anytime you face bullying or bullshit ass people, just remember that you have so much more life to live after that hell on earth. Because I promise you, none of that will matter in a couple years. None of it. It's literally nothing. The popularity. The bullies. The insecurities. It's all fake. None of that is important. Stop worrying about the smoking. It's bad for you, yes. But you're being too hard on yourself. I smoke. Everyone I know smokes. It's just an addiction. It's something to lean on cause life's a bitch sometimes. For you, it's illegal. That's the tough part. You can't just go to the store and buy that shit like I can. I don't even think about it. It's just something I do cause I have the freedom to do it. You'll be there one day. And you have time to quit. You CAN quit. Life is hard sometimes. And you seem very innocent. You will find out what's actually important. When high-school is over, it's all about money so you can live how you wanna live. Seriously, I need you to listen to this. When it's time for you to find a job, which, if you're old enough, I would recommend you do, so you can have some cash. It will give you a sense of control, security, and confidence. What people think of you isn't really important. They're unimportant. Right now, please worry about obtaining some skills, knowledge, and start figuring out what you wanna do after high school. The sky is really the limit for you. I really need you to see that. You are smarter than you know and you have so much to offer. Learn everything you can. When you find a good opportunity, get everything out of it you can. And you're delusional if you think you're ugly. You're beautiful. What scares me is how innocent you are. How impressionable you are. Boys and men can and will take advantage of that. You will see in the long run that attracting guys isn't the hard part. (High school aged guys are usually flaky, immature, and unintelligent) What you will really look back and realize is that you should of picked the one that will fire you off on all cylinders: Good character, protector, rough around the edges, strong, driven, and makes you happy. If you find him, ask him to take you out. Long story short: Fuck high school, fuck the unimportant people, you worry about you, fuck those people, worry about family and close friends, you have so much more going for you. You should love yourself, I promise you, you should be proud. Don't be so hard on yourself and don't let idiots impress on you. You got other shit going on. Your shit.

Im in my early 40s so an old man comparatively 😂. But i remember being in school and having similar struggles, people are mean sometimes but dont let them get you down. It gets easier as you age mostly because you learn how to better navigate situations and realize people are gonna hate, move on and dont sweat it. I agree with others saying you might try finding a different counselor that you can open up to. Hang in there, dont be too hard on yourself, you got this!

Hope that situation got confused it's always best to walk away if we can and also if someone attacks us we have to defend ourselves..... maybe think about getting into high school wrestling at your school.... that's very powerful and can help you in situations like that....... and or you can take boxing Muay Thai kickboxing or Jiu-Jitsu ..... learning some kind of Martial skills like these Empower us to be more confident to know that we can protect ourselves and others and it helps with our self-esteem etc #wrestling #boxing #thaiboxing #jujitsu #boxing

Although it seems like it's just us because it's our own experience those things are very common the fears that we all have. That's great you do track and continue on something physical like that or even martial arts anything that can bring you pride and joy and learning new skills Our Lives come with our own experiences and our own roller coasters, it's great you're sharing and opening up and from those thoughts and ideas Come how to move forward in positive ways from the different things you're dealing with, Strengthening your mind your spirit your physical, learning new tools for your toolbox to help you cope in positive ways with the things you're dealing with on a daily basis Sometimes life just sucks in many ways while at the same time it's amazing. It's what we do with our feelings..... do we get down on ourselves and do things to harm us......... or do we figure out ways of how to move forward the best we can and even better..... things can be very overwhelming at times...... and also if we put in the work everyday to be the best version of yourself..... there's nothing that you can accomplish and do....... Maybe it's a good idea if you trust your counselor and they're supportive of you..... Having a positive support group besides RUclips..... someone there like your counselor can be very beneficial and help guide you and give you different ideas that you can discover and figure out why you are self-harming and why you are doing the things you're doing. Situations in your life that you're not liking that are triggering you and you are dealing with that in the self-harm and other things......... by opening up and sharing and talking that's very powerful.......... good job....and that opens up thoughts and conversations and ideas I hope this finds you well... lots of love and prayers...... you got this.... figuring out why you're doing the things you are and why you're feeling the Way You Are And figure out the remedies and how to change those things that do not serve you in a healthy way. You got this. Every morning when you wake up and before sleep say thankful and gratitude for what you have like I'm thankful for my hands and thankful for my voice I'm thankful for my eyes and so on....... doing these things daily help us greatly And also tell yourself often everyday I am amazing I have value I have worth..... I am beautiful inside and out..... looking in the mirror having a conversation with yourself and telling yourself that you love you. How many times people do drugs Vapes alcohol because they can't deal with the pressure and it numbs the pain.... but the problem with that is it's only temporary.... Hi Mackenzie - Being nervous about high school is totally normal, but when you talk to any of those kids a few days later, it's not near as bad as their imaginations made it seem. New faces and a chance to make new connections; take advantage of that opportunity and get involved. High schools often have much more to offer to students in the way of clubs, sports, & other activities. There are lots of kids feeling the same way as you and are looking to make connections. This will be the perfect time to make some new friends and possibly try some new activities. Also, a school counselor may be able to hook you up with a support group, so reach out early and take a tour of the school. Anything to make those first weeks of hs easier will be a good investment. You are a pretty girl, so be selective and have fun. Hang in there, Mackenzie....you've got this!

it’s not ur problem that u smell like cigarettes, i know you know this but it’s important not to let others bother you. u should talk to someone about the sh and vape addiction, wanting to quit is the first step which means your already halfway there, you can look up videos of “how to quit”, or “quit with me’s” or, you could find a friend who also wants to quit and you could hold each other accountable? i know that this is really difficult, but i know u can do it. And don’t worry too much about high school, i remember being kinda scared too but it’s so much better than middle school in the sense that it’s bigger so your more likely to find people more like you, that would love to be your friend. Just remember that (even though u don’t care what others think) you’re beautiful inside and out, and they are insecure about themselves and they’re reflecting it onto others. Stay strong💪💪

I can relate in the fact that you don't know how to move forward. Find another councilor or someone you trust and confide in them and let them help hold you up and keep your bad habits in check. You might not have someone like that right now but try. It's not easy especially growing up dealing with all thses. Try stay safe and try to enjoy some the little things in your life.
