Working with wood has always been a passion of mine and I have always enjoyed creating and making. Retirement in 2016 has enabled me to devote more time to improving my woodturning skills. Nicely done Barry. Are you not using abrasive paste between the sanding sealer and the wax. I think it would add to you lovely finish.
Thanks Doug. I usually use abrasive paste, however, as it was a piece of yew I decided to apply sanding sealer then a high gloss wax finish as an experiment, and I must say it came up great. I'm not sure you would get away with it on some other timbers. Thanks again

Very nice! How long do you let it dry before you peel off the tape.

Nice job Barry. I have so many offcuts and boards from doing flat work that I need to start making some pendants, etc. Then again, I need to wait until the summer temperatures drop to a tolerable level. 😊
