Day 1: BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024 Namibia
The 9th BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy began with a beautiful African sunrise. After breaking camp, the riders packed their gear into bags, which were later transported to the next camp. As is tradition, 2 or 3 teams were randomly selected to handle the task of loading the bags onto the transportation truck. After a hearty breakfast, the moment everyone had been eagerly anticipating arrived. Stefanie Grund, Senior Project Manager of the event, waved the checkered flag, signaling the start of this year's adventure riding event. At 7:45 am local time, Team Brazil, the International Female Team, and Female Team Japan crossed the start line to cheers from the crowd.

Peco might crash next week
25:45 Brad, and to a greater degree, Jack both have what I call the Toni Elias style on the bike. Stay low, keep your cheek near the fuel tank have the front planted and let the rear be a bit loose. Very exciting to watch, but getting it turned quiclky and getting on the gas early looks like a problem sometimes. Enea following Brad at Motegi was a prime display of this. Enea (and Pedro) both ride with what I would call the (newest) modern style. Mav does it, Jorge does it. Exaggerated (to on oldie like me) upper body hang off and early consistent exits look like the formula. Brad and Jack seem to be waiting...waiting....waiting for the bike to turn and drive out. Long time leaned over and the stopwatch is ticking. I'm a huge BB33 fan and as an Aussie, support Jack all the way, but even in the last year that kinda old school Toni Elias style does not work any more. Oh, unless it's wet and then Brad and Jack have a good chance to exploit their skills.
spot on.
Brad's loyalty has cost him his career. Perhaps look for a ride for '26 and beyond? Vinales will bring nothing to the project.
To say it has cost Brad his career is a bit strong because we don't know what offers were on the table. Keep in mind Pedro has also just taken the same KTM gamble as Brad.
Best sounding bikes!
Riding and signing a long term contract with KTM was Brad's worst decision. KTM management are a poisenous lot just ask Jack, Pol, Miguel, Augusta and Guidotti. I am also very pleased that Jack is off to Yamaha as I think he will do better there., a more professional (not emotional) company. With the financial losses KTM are suffering if Red Bull pull the plug on them it will be game over. The leaky rim deal. For my 2 cents, the rule says the pressure must not go below a certain pressure. It does (I am sure) not say if the rim leaks this is OK. It is a safety rule and the fact that Acopsta got off scott free is BS. If the pressure was below the requirement he did not meet the rule specification and should be penalised. In addition it also proves to us that the rule is BS because his tyre did not blow up and cause him to crash.
Brad will be looking for a new job unfortunately in 2026
I think Martin will come back to the Ducati factory in 2 yrs

Brilliant review. I recently acquired a 2001 F650GS with a new mission on the front and a knobby on the back. Looking to get a matching back and this was very helpful. Cheers!
Two strokes are racing. Four strokes are for public roads
Bad brad is useless, his biggest problem is that he is to scared of falling he's never on the limit. That ktm has way more to offer than he can give.
Its in the rules once you are out of track you'll be penalize
@@romelvillanueva5206 only if you touch the green paint, which Enea did not.
You guys didn't mention what mm93 said about enea he's out of track as well, and he has to be penalize
@@romelvillanueva5206 correct, and after the race the stewards and others confirmed it’s because Enea did not touch the green paint and it was considered a racing incident
I second that, he mentioned that the overtake was actually perfect but in his opinion running off track would be the decider.
Hello Rob. I think Brad Binder needs to be on a Ducati to win a world championship. I cannot see him winning on a KTM next year. What do you think....
@@formulavee sad to say but yes have to agree it’s not looking possible on a KTM
Ridden to perfection 👌
bbooooo no audio
2 strokes are the best
shit camera angle on the bike mate wtf
Can it be lowered?
I believe the reason Martin does not have a fan base is because of his cocky attitude. It really puts people off when he goes on TV and talks about how much better he is than everyone else. My husband and I both can’t stand him for that exact reason. as for Joan Mir… The reason he doesn’t have much of a fan base is because he won a championship with a very lacklustre year of performance. I love him, but you cannot say he was deserving of a championship in anyway. There just wasn’t anyone else wanting to win it that year. He managed to win one race and then just not do as badly as everyone else for the rest of that crazy Covid year.
In fact Marc broke the old race lap record(lap 20 and not fully dry track). That tells a shit ton how good he is and Pecco said Marc broke him on lap 20.
Whats the news on a ride for Darryn next year
done and dusted
Fast still fast

I can see gp25 domination because of MM93 next year,
No one is giving us excitement than Marc Marquez
It would be fun and exciting if we put Marc at the end of the grid, cause we all know it woulf be a little bit boring to see every rce marc doninate if he is at work front
It's v4 sp2 not the v4r has 17 maximum rpm this Ducati only have 15000 maximum rpm and v4r doesn't come with electronic suspension
@@MohammedIrfanUddin-cg6lt it’s the V4R tested here, does not have electronic suspension 👍🏻
Racing incident for sure! But you're wrong about the running into someone on the road thing though... When someone cuts into your lane, even if you hit them towards the rear of their car they are at fault for encroaching into your lane. this does not apply if you hit them directly in the rear, but Alex did not hit Pecco in the rear, he hit the side near the rear. Alex had the inside line, Pecco came in like a meteor leaving Alex no room or time to react.
Best MotoGP chat on RUclips by far!
@@jaconetteconradie969 thanks so much for the great comment 🙏🏻
Agree with both on incident. Only issue have is Alex was not off track. He was offline so does not need to sit up and look

What an outstanding review! I watch the other ones and they spend all this time walking around it and quoting specs, as if we can't get that directly from Yamaha's page.
Great Stuff !!! Thanks guys !!
Can a big guy ride these? Im 6.1. 250. Want to get something a little more trail worthy than the harley😂
I'm a bit higher (190 cm) and i felt that i could use bar risers.. otherwise this bike is fairly tall. I think that it's a great bike! You can only know if it's for you, if you take a test ride 😉
