Today's focus is on color, tools, and panic attacks. I feel very strongly about learning, making mistakes, and striving for perfection. I am also very concerned about the panic I see in new quilters' faces. Be brave; it will be okay. There may be a short glitch after the pause, but it should straighten out especially if you fast forward a bit. This is a new skill for me to master on this journe...

I have a group that meets in the lobby of the YMCA every Monday from 10 to 12. Attendees do not have to be Y members but many are. We have been meeting for almost 2 years

I love the floral fabric! A friend made me a table runner from it, using a beautiful yellow with it.
Tilda fabrics are so beautiful and will make a stunning wedding ring quilt. I am working on a quilt that has embroidered blocks which I started in 2012. I think I have half the blocks stitched but the fabric is too tightly woven so the embroidery is very difficult. I am still determined to finish it.
Determination is everything! I cannot wait to see it all finished. Yes I love TILDA too! So elegant.
I understand how busy this time of year can be! Between garden, yard, & housework it's hard to find a lot of time to sew! I am trying to plant low maintenance perennial flowers this year! Love your projects you shared with us!!😊

I love to hand stitch my binding as well, but usuaally machine stitch it to the back & flip it to the front to hand sew. That way, I get to look at the pretty top a little longer before giving it away( most of mine are gifts).
That's a great idea! I don’t know why I have never tried that! Most of mine are too-or they end up gifts even I don’t plan it that way!
I am doing the Cream and Sugar BOM with Anna of Quilt Roadies. Made my month one (April) blocks today. I also hand stitch my bindings down; it is one of my favourite parts of making the quilt. Today we have had snow and terrible wind. Hoping spring weather returns soone.
Oh gosh! I do not like it when it snows after really great spring weather! I love snow, but I want it November through March only! lol! I can’t wait to see your Cream and Sugar, and I totally agree with you about binding!

I enjoyed your video. I have a calendar that I record the name of projects worked on and a notebook where I track works in progress. It takes very little time but helps me keep track of things.
That sounds like a good plan. I often make lists of what I have personally accomplished each day so I know I was productive, maybe I could incorporate that in my stitchy life too. I am notorious for starting too much too often. 😜😝 Thanks for watching and commenting!
