TRAIL RIDING IN GOOD OLE AMERICA. ABOARD A FEW DIFFERENT MACHINES IN A FEW DIFFERENT PLACES. THANKS FOR TUNING IN!
KLX300R vs KLX300 at Wicomico MX and ATV park.
Well, My DAD and I finally got the chance to take a few laps around the Wicomico intermediate track at the same time on the KLX's. The grey bike is a street legal 24 klx300 piloted by my dad, and the green bike is a 23 KLX300R. Dad's bike has the secondary throttle plate removed, KDX snorkel, and changed both sprockets (feels more like the R model now in terms of power). He also has some TUSK (offroad) tires installed as well. The KLX300R I'm riding only has the KDX snorkel and one tooth smaller front sprocket. We both agree that these bikes do well on trails and such, but I think this shows that you can have fun on the track too.

WICOMICO MOTORSPORTS - TRAIL SECTION - 2024
Просмотров 15421 день назад
We had perfect conditions and an excellent/updated trail section to ride this time out. I believe part of the Wicomico Trails are used by Budds Creek MX for their hare scramble race which happened the weekend before. (We attended that event but didn't ride) In my opinion, that Budds race made the trails WAY more fun to ride than the last visit we had here. Almost every turn had a berm to blast ...

Hello, this is more action from our trip to WV. We stayed within Buffalo Mountain most of the time but, this day we decided to head to the Devils Anse system. Thought I'd try multi-camera views for this one and I think it looks kinda cool too.
Hatfield Trip! - Cemetery and Trail #39

We stopped at the Hatfield Homeplace Museum, sat on the porch for a bit then headed down the road to check out the Hatfield Family Cemetery. After that we went back up he road to Trail #39 of Devil's Anse system. Its cool to go from town to town all while riding our dirt bikes. Everyone was welcoming and friendly at all of the gas stations and food places we visited too. Hope you enjoy.

What an amazing place this was. Trails are all super fun and go for MILES! We went all over the Devil Anse and Buffalo Mountain areas as well. Had to watch out for oncoming traffic but other than that we had a blast. (around the 5 min mark is where we pick it up a bit)

Finally got the chance to take the XR out to some REAL trails. Had no issues aside from low traction here and there (stock tires). She only has a front sprocket change and some good handle bars.

Hello friends, this is my attempt at saying things and talking about stuff while we ride some trails. I had a blast on this XR150 as always, so I plan to ride it more often.

Awesome ride
Best video so far 🏍️ amazing
The way I see it, instead of using the choke to enrich the mixture for cold starts (as chokes are intended), you're re-jetting will now make your bike run rich everywhere, all the time. That doesn't seem like a good thing really.
@lmelin1959 I understand, however, the pilot only controls starting and 1/4 throttle fuel mixture. I've had it like that for about 1000 miles with zero issue. If you want to deal with a choke, and wait for the bike to get warm, thats fine, I get it. I'd rather just fire it up and go ride. I don't use 1/4 throttle anyways to be honest. This has bike has no power, so I basically leave it 1/2 throttle or more the whole time.
I had my dirt bikes stolen last a couple of days ago so I’ve been coming to your page and others to live vicariously through y’all
@@g_abe_c Well, I hope you get the chance one day to ride again on a new machine.
Did u cross the underpass?
What camera set up do you have? This video is crystal clear!
Thank you! its a Gopro Hero 11, and I stuck it on a chin mount that I bought from amazon.
Beautiful trail
It was!
How long is the trail? Is it just one or multiple , love the content !
@byronveliz6421 I'm not sure the exact length of the trail, but I do know it takes around 10 mins to go around the whole thing. That sounds short I know, but it's fun to do a few laps around. Thanks for watching, too!
Went back this weekend with a bike that had a speedo and the trail is about 4.2 miles long.
double vision love it let ride
double vision!
Looking good and love the Picture in Picture

Was such a fun trip ❤️
Extraordinaria moto, sencilla, buena calidad e inmejorable andar. Saludo desde la Argentina
Damn, really nice trails 🏍️
Heck yeah awesome vid man, these little Xr's are so cool. What pro taper bars did you go with?
Thanks for watching! I believe those bars are the "CR HI" bend. Went from stock (beach cruiser bend) to this and she feels more like an "MX" bike now.
@@TRAIL_TIME841 Yea the stock bars leave a bit to be desired lol they are designed more for general purpose comfort.
I wish we had this bike in EU!
I hope one day you have that opportunity my friend. Thanks for watching!
Nice chill ride 🏍️
Great video, I had a blast just watching it🤙
@@SoloRiderJoe Thank you very much!

Nice filming love the video
Back at it again, my two favorite riders 🏍️
pops has no stop button haha good dudes right here
that mud pit came out of nowhere hahaha
How do you like the bike? After some seat time, would you buy it again?
I've mostly owned 125 and 250 - 2 stroke machines through the years and now that I ride trails 99% of the time, this bike has been excellent. ONLY problem I've had is that its heavy. (you only notice the weight when loading it in the truck and/or picking it up off the ground after you go down) I'm not a big dude and I can ride it just fine as it is. Hope that helps!
@TRAIL_TIME841 nice to hear about previous experience on bikes. I grew up on snowmobiles and was on yamaha blasters as a kid. Rode street sport bikes for years and sold it bc of the drivers on roads lately. Looking to get on some dirt trails. Not looking to break records nor clear triples. I'm 38yrs old and broke enough bones when young.
This is what my klx 150bf was like before mods great bikes with some simple fixes
Excellent video! Really shows what this little bike is capable of. Definitely punches above its weight…
Thank you very much! Hopefully I get the chance to modify a couple things and take it a few more places and really give it some beans.
looks good... very slick out that day but the machine handled just fine
She held Cole.
Some fun trails, nice Vid!
Thank you very much!
You make cool videos. Is that electric?
its a honda XR150... i think its a 2023 but the lil thing is super fun and very capable lil machine
Thank you! This one is gas powered
I want to get some new bars for mine someday soon. Motor stuff came first on mine so it was more streetable.
I've owned one of these for many years now and I'm actually quite surprised that it's only being released in the US now... Crazy. Awesome little bikes that'll last a million years. You simply cannot kill them.
yep, we finally got them!
I’m torn between these two bikes I live less than 100 feet from a trail. I wish the R version had lights and the digital dash, don’t like how it has no key just a push button ignition … I could always change the gearing and tires on the 300 to make it more off road, although it seems to be doing just fine.
@backyardscaler After we removed the baffle in the intake, changed the gearing, and added real dirt tires, the 300 (street legal one ) almost feels like the R model. However, the non R model still has softer feeling suspension and weighs more. (It feels heavier than the R model when you crash and have to pick it up.) Me personally, I ride down my street to the trails on the R since it's insanely quiet and very capable. Hope that helps some..
go with the R you can make it street legal easily and i saw one inperson brand new differnt looking alittle nicer and no secondary thorrtle plate alredy
More Parts fit the 300R as well
Hell yea man. Hey u mind sharing where can i find a crossbar for the stock handlebar? i want a pad kinda similar to yours but i wanna know what length pad to buy i dont wanna have to cut it
These are Protaper bars which came with the pad too. I couldn't stand the beach cruiser back-sweep with the stock bars and they are also very narrow. Maybe amazon has some kind of crossbar that would work for the stock bars but I'm not sure.
??
No exact address to this spot.. Somebody would have to show you… was just out there this past saturday
Hey, can you give me the exact address please?
Hey, can you give me the exact address please?
I don't have the exact address, and to be honest we aren't supposed to go here so this is as far as I can show. I suggest using google earth..that's how I figured it out.
Hey u have exactly address? I want to go but I don’t where is the entrance?
Nice Video. Is there an area to park motorcycle trailers/haulers?
I wouldn't recommend bringing a trailer to this spot. There are other places (possibly in the woods) that people park trailers and such.
Thanks for sharing your fun ride. Couple questions if you get a moment to reply..... How does the XR do on hill climbs? Are there any low cost options to increase the power?
hello, I weigh about 160lbs and this machine moves me just fine up most hills. I've also added a smaller front sprocket (from 17t to 16t, maybe $20) so its easier to ride slow in the woods and has more torque down low. other than that I've done nothing so far. I do believe they are working on engine kits and such but I don't need that for the light trail riding I do. Hope this helps some.
Thanks, that's very helpful. Changing the front sprocket is a great, simple mod. How did this affect the max speed cruising a highway or paved road?
@@Richard-dh8ny I may have lost a couple mph of top speed, however it still gets up to 60mph. I generally stay around 50-55mph on the roads around my area.
Doesn’t putting a larger front sprocket on actually raise top speed, but reduce low speed torque, but a larger rear sprocket lowers top speed, but increases torque at the rear wheel? That’s why the old bikes had “overlay” sprockets, and you carried an extra piece of chain to make up for the larger trail sprocket.
@bryanbrowning5746 you are absolutely correct. I meant to say that I went one tooth less on the front sprocket. 😅 stock is 17t, I went to the 16t.
Nice, I took mine out today also. Bottomed it out plenty, lol
Here we go again let’s RIDES🏍️
U guy are the best. Fantastic ride.
Thanks!
good riding, would you recommend a good time to go to avoid crowds?
Thank you. I would recommend going in the AM. We parked at 8:30, headed home by 12 and saw only a few folks out riding.
@@TRAIL_TIME841 thanks, did you go on a weekend?
@@Drz4Dayz yes, it was the weekend
@@TRAIL_TIME841 sweet, hope to see you around riding sometime
Was a fun ride ❤
Sounds like shes screaming at 55 haha. Wonder if that thing can keep going running 55 often and long distances
I agree she sounds like it's almost topped out, but I'm really only going to about 2/3 throttle. It also does get up to about 63 mph so I think it will be ok.
nicely done mate thank you for the video
Glad you enjoyed it
What camera do you use? I’m trying to get my channel going with how many mods I’ve done to mine already.
Hello, I'm using a GoPro 11 camera and its working just fine so far. I've heard good things about the new DJI camera though. Good luck with your channel as well!
@@TRAIL_TIME841 okay, I’ll check it out. Thank you!
@@TRAIL_TIME841 good luck with your channel as well!!
In australia it's a farm bike, saves walking to check sheep cows water levels, not meant for trail riding, this is ridiculous
Well, this is not Australia.
