Man, I genuinely miss the Parallax effect on iOS devices.
I think we are never gonna get another ios redesing like this, I was so fortunate to see and experience this masive upgrade to the apple devices! It really was Amazing!
iOS 7 was a game changer for Apple. And for us. I miss it to this day in 2024. I also miss Jonny’s voice. And Steve. And the old Apple as a whole.

Apple is no longer innovating or trying to. I miss when making good design products was its core value, we used to have great stuff. I miss when Ive was presenting things, with its voice, always finding a new rare word to describe the newest product. Now it’s all gone, no different from any Samsung out there
This iOS was a game changer for Apple. Now in 2024, you can see that this ios7 is the backbone of all the other subsequent iOS versions released over the years. I’m sure most people who have used apple since the days of iOS 6 would agree

I miss iOS 7 so bad. The good times man. We miss those. I remember being with a friend back in the day, waiting impatiently for the release of iOS 7 to update from iOS 6 and the immediate excitement I got from the update while my friend is dying of joy. Will never forget that feeling. I’m an Apple user til death. But it’s needless to say, iOS doesn’t feel the same anymore. RIP.

iOS 7 was so timeless , it actually looks MORE futuristic than the latest iOS versions. They actually dialed back the forward design to appeal to more old fashion users.
Society went downhill since they got rid of skeuomorphism, and even more when they got rid of USB-A on MacBooks.
Rewatching this in 2024 and thought that the Ear Pods were Air Pods. Well played Apple

Amazing moment in history. I was 13 years old. I remember early that morning watching the key note and literally almost teared up. It’s 2024 now and some of that magic is gone but I’m currently running iOS 18 Beta 1 and the dark mode feature is probably the biggest redesign in years !

android copied it and simplified their icons
They didn’t copy at all. Android just modernized the design to match every other operating system out right now and Android doesn’t look as basic as current iOS.
Android had already been trying to move to flat design in 2011 this was before iOS 7, look up project Kennedy on Google it was basically the same thing as the 2014 material design but they hadn't rolled it out to all apps yet
I still have my old iPhone 5s. Unfortunately the screen is smashed 😔

I remember being so hyped for ios 7... The new iphone 5s and 5c had ios 7 and then the iphone 4 got ios 7 and i felt so cool with the update😭 parallax looked so much better why do they not have it anymore or why is it not as 3D looking anymore?
