Hey mate, I lost conrod #4 over the finish line of the 1/4 mile with 36psi boost at the end of 2012. Ran 12.2 seconds at 110mph from memory. I built a compound turbo version with efi and plenty of fruit which lived happily for several years with 70psi+ boost. 😃

Hey mate, the 2tc has longer piston pin height than the 3TC due to shorter stroke so 1jz pistons will fit with correct overbore but the compression would be significantly lower than a 3TC with those same pistons. I don’t have the specific information anymore but the 2jzgte stock piston with 14cc dish(?)in a 3TC is around 7:1 compression. 1jzgte pistons are something like a 4cc dish so in a 2tc they would be acceptable if you planned on pumping in plenty of boost! In my last 3TC I had 6.3:1 compression pumping 70psi boost with compound turbos and it was quite drivable off boost with an appropriate ignition map.

Hey mate, only just saw your post. www.balfa.wooyek.pl seems to be a great site for info if you haven’t seen it already. Due to age it can be a case of custom one off machining to replace some of the parts it seems. Great to hear of another BB7 rider!

Marcos Harvey plenty of practise but that style of chunky technical trail is my favourite. I placed 10th in Elite so nine others did it better however! 😂

Hi mate, all Toyota but not 3TC stock. I had a set of 3SGE BEAMS factory Toyota pistons in it to lower the compression to 7.2:1 or so.

Dom Baker yes it was factory standard 3TC crankshaft.

@@NewBeginningsBlackall do you know the max revs the stock crank can handle?

No mate I only revved mine to 7200rpm max. Others have gone 8500rpm+ but I suspect the pushrod valve train will be a bigger problem than the crank for pushing crazy rpm.

+Umar Nawaz Hi mate, The 3TC is the same engine with slightly bigger crank making 1800cc where the 2tb is 1600cc. The 2TB or 2T can do the same stuff I simply chose the 3TC as there is a wide variety of factory pistons from other engines which drop in for cheap upgrades. :)

Devilsix I don't know too much but it is mostly owner built and tuned! It has 18RGEU efi intake, megasquirt ecu, aries forged pistons, CT26 turbo and I think 14psi boost or so.
