Weight limit: 10 tons. "I am sorry, train dispatcher. I kicked my conductor out and we were about 10 tons closer to the weight restriction anyway..."
Bridge sign says weight limit 10 tons. Diesel locomotive weighs 300 tons or more.
I'm pretty sure that's for the car bridge adjacent to the RR
Placard inside the cab says 415,000 lbs. But yeah I laughed pretty hard at that. Each of the coal cars are going to be loaded to 286,000 lb or within 5% of that anyway. I bet that's a fun ride on the bridge when a heavy coal train is using it.
Incredible bright green foilage and deep winding river valley, amazing bridges, just totally wondrous topography!!👍
